Network of Recurrent events - A case study of Japan
A recently proposed method of constructing seismic networks from 'record
breaking events' from the earthquake catalog of California (Phy. Rev. E, 77
6,066104, 2008) was successfull in establishing causal features to seismicity
and arrive at estimates for rupture length and its scaling with magnitude. The
results of our implementation of this procedure on the earthquake catalog of
Japan establishes the robustness of the procedure. Additionally, we find that
the temporal distributions are able to detect heterogeneties in the seismicity
of the region.Comment: 13 pages, 6 figures, 1 tabl
Madurai Maruthan Ilanaganar and the Nadukal Culture of the Sangam Age
Ancient poets sang in many songs about the mediators taken for warriors in Sangam literature. Madurai Maruthan Ilanaganar, a contemporary of the Pandya king Nanmaran Valuthi, mentions his rare ideas about planting in six songs. This article explores the structure, developmental status of the mediators, the engraving, the imprinting of the human figure, the character of the engraver and the disintegration of the figure, the heroic deed of the opposing hero, and the implantation of messages about his heroism with the implant culture
Influence of textile effluent on the Reaction, Structure and Properties of
The transformation of industrial wastes into useful products attracts more researches to work upon for sustainable of natural resources. In this paper, industrial wastes such as treated textile effluent and fly ash were used in the preparation of plain cement concrete with the intention of reducing the environmental pollution caused by these materials. The partially treated textile effluent was used as mixing water and fly ash was used as 30% partial replacement by weight of cement in concrete. The textile effluents were collected after anaerobic treatment and tertiary treatment from textile industry. Class F Fly ash was collected from Mettur thermal power plant. The physical and chemical properties of treated textile effluent were studied. The control concrete was prepared with potable water available in the laboratory. Experimental test was performed for compressive strength of concrete at 28 days. The powdered concrete samples were examined through infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy to study the microstructure of concrete. The compressive strength test results revealed that anaerobic effluent water (AAE) concrete accomplished higher compressive strength than control concrete. This was also in affirmation with microscopic analysis in which the formations of hydration products were well established when compared to control concrete

The common diseases treated by the herbal practitioner were asthma, digestive problems, paralyzes, skin diseases and diabetes
Intuitionistic Robust Fuzzy Matrix for the Diagnosis of Stress, Anxiety and Hypertension
The mathematical model given here attempts to improve precisionin the diagnosis of stress, anxiety, and hypertension using Intuitionisticrobust fuzzy matrix (IRFM). In practice, the imprecise natureof medical documentation and the uncertainty of patient informationfrequently do not provide the appropriate level of confidence in thediagnosis. To that purpose, a novel method based on distinct fuzzymatrices and fuzzy relations is devised, which makes use of the capabilitiesof fuzzy logic in describing, understanding, and exploitingfacts and information that are unclear and lack clarity. With the assistanceof 30 doctors, a medical knowledge base is created during theprocedure. The model obtained 95.55%t accuracy in the diagnosis, demonstrating its utility
Awareness About Denture Cleaning Aids Among Dental Students of Private Dental Institution
The oral health of the denture wearing patients plays a significant role related to quality of life,
nutrition, social interactions and general systemic health. The dentists must be aware about the
cleaning of dentures since they design the denture for patients comfort and function. The aim of the
study was to assess the awareness of denture cleaning aids among dental students in a private dental
institution. A survey was conducted in December 2019 among dental students (Third years, Final
years and Interns) of saveetha Dental college. It was an online questionnaire based study, conducted
to assess the awareness of denture cleaning aids. 150 dental students participated in this study. The
survey consisted of 8 questions related to denture cleaning aids, conditions associated, method of
cleaning etc. The survey was distributed to the students through google forms and the data collection
was done. Chi square statistical analysis was done using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences
software(version 20). It was found that awareness of denture cleaning aids is seen maximum in
30.67% of interns compared to III years and IV year students. Within the limitations of the study it
was found that interns were more aware about denture cleaning aids compared to third years and
final year students
SENSORY EVALUATION OF CAROTENOID AND PALM JAGGERY INCORPORATED FUNCTIONAL DRINK JIGARTHANDA
Functional foods are any fresh or processed food claimed to have a health-promoting or disease-preventing property beyond the basic function of the supply of nutrients. Functional foods like beverages offer potential health benefits that could enhance the well-being of consumers and reduce the economic and social costs of treating non-communicable diseases. Jigarthanda is one of the best tasting summer drink which has its origins in Madurai. The present study was carried out on the development of the functional drink Jigarthanda incorporated with carrot and palm jaggery using basic ingredients such as milk, Kova, and almond gum. The functional drink was prepared with three variations viz., VI, VII, and VIII in two proportions i.e. A and B. In proportion A, all the three variations were incorporated with 100 ml of carrot juice, and also VI, VII, and VIII contain 100 g, 150g, and 200g of palm jaggery respectively. In proportion B all the three variations were incorporated with 200 ml of carrot juice and also VI, VII and VIII contain 100 g, 150g, and 200g of palm jaggery respectively. Among the three variations, in Variation I, all the sensory factors were marked high with the mean value of 7 in both Proportion A and B. In Variation II and Variation III, all the factors in both proportions, A and B were marked high with the mean score of more than seven, and particularly in variation III, the taste factor got a high mean score of more than 8, and the overall acceptability was very high in Proportion B and the mean score was 7.3, which was more than the proportion A (7.27). Hence the functional drink Jigardhanda in VIII of Proportion B, which was made with 250gram palm jaggery, incorporated with 200 ml of carotenoid-rich carrot juice obtained the highest overall acceptability score and was regarded as the best sensory evaluated variation of Jigarthanda. The popular traditional beverage Jigarthanda has been value-added by incorporating carotenoid-rich functional food to the consumers.
Interplanetary Consequences of a Large CME
We analyze a coronal mass ejection (CME) which resulted from an intense flare
in active region AR486 on November 4, 2003. The CME propagation and speed are
studied with interplanetary scintillation images, near-Earth space mission
data, and Ulysses measurements. Together, these diverse diagnostics suggest
that the internal magnetic energy of the CME determines its interplanetary
consequences.Comment: 5 pages, 9 figures, To appear in "Magnetic Coupling between the

(R1986) Neutrosophic Soft Contra e-Continuous Maps, Contra e-Irresolute Maps and Application using Distance Measure
We introduce and investigate neutrosophic soft contra e-continuous maps and contra e-irresolute maps in neutrosophic soft topological spaces with examples. Also, neutrosophic soft contra econtinuous maps are compared with neutrosophic soft continuous maps, δ-continuous maps, δ- semi continuous maps, δ-pre continuous maps and e∗ continuous maps in neutrosophic soft topological spaces. We derive some useful results and properties related to them. An application in decision making problem using distance measure is given. An example of a candidate selection from a company interview is formulated as neutrosophic soft model problem and the hamming distance measure is applied to calculate the distance between the interview candidates and the ideal candidate. The candidate having less distance with the ideal solution is the desirable candidate
Real Time Monitoring and Neuro-Fuzzy Based Fault Diagnosis of Flow Process in Hybrid System
Process variables vary with time in certain applications. Monitoring systems let us avoid severe economic losses resulting from unexpected electric system failures by improving the system reliability and maintainability The installation and maintenance of such monitoring systems is easy when it is implemented using wireless techniques. ZigBee protocol, that is a wireless technology developed as open global standard to address the low-cost, low-power wireless sensor networks. The goal is to monitor the parameters and to classify the parameters in normal and abnormal conditions to detect fault in the process as early as possible by using artificial intelligent techniques. A key issue is to prevent local faults to be developed into system failures that may cause safety hazards, stop temporarily the production and possible detrimental environment impact. Several techniques are being investigated as an extension to the traditional fault detection and diagnosis. Computational intelligence techniques are being investigated as an extension to the traditional fault detection and diagnosis methods. This paper proposes ANFIS (Adaptive Neural Fuzzy Inference System) for fault detection and diagnosis. In ANFIS, the fuzzy logic will create the rules and membership functions whereas the neural network trains the membership function to get the best output. The output of ANFIS is compared with Back Propagation Algorithm (BPN) algorithm of neural network. The training and testing data required to develop the ANFIS model were generated at different operating conditions by running the process and by creating various faults in real time in a laboratory experimental model
