    Succession in «Digital Assets». The spanish «plurilegislative» response

    Este trabajo aborda el estudio de la sucesión en «lo digital», esto es, la tutela post mortem de los datos personales recogidos en la red, así como de los contenidos digitales. Para ello, se analizan una serie de cuestiones de índole terminológica junto con los principales problemas que plantean las disposiciones sobre las titularidades digitales. Se finaliza con la exposición crítica del marco normativo proporcionado por la Ley orgánica 3/2018, de 5 de diciembre, de protección de datos personales y garantía de los derechos digitales y la Ley 10/2017, de 27 de junio, de las voluntades digitales y de modificación de los libros segundo y cuarto del Código civil de Cataluña.This paper aims at analysing the succession in digital assets, i. e., the post mortem protection of personal data and digital content. In this regard, a series of terminological issues are discussed together with the main problems posed by digital ownership.     Assessment of glial activation response in the progress of natural scrapie after chronic dexamethasone treatment

    Neuroinflammation has been correlated with the progress of neurodegeneration in many neuropathologies. Although glial cells have traditionally been considered to be protective, the concept of them as neurotoxic cells has recently emerged. Thus, a major unsolved question is the exact role of astroglia and microglia in neurodegenerative disorders. On the other hand, it is well known that glucocorticoids are the first choice to regulate inflammation and, consequently, neuroglial inflammatory activity. The objective of this study was to determine how chronic dexamethasone treatment influences the host immune response and to characterize the beneficial or detrimental role of glial cells. To date, this has not been examined using a natural neurodegenerative model of scrapie. With this aim, immunohistochemical expression of glial markers, prion protein accumulation, histopathological lesions and clinical evolution were compared with those in a control group. The results demonstrated how the complex interaction between glial populations failed to compensate for brain damage in natural conditions, emphasizing the need for using natural models. Additionally, the data showed that modulation of neuroinflammation by anti-inflammatory drugs might become a research focus as a potential therapeutic target for prion diseases, similar to that considered previously for other neurodegenerative disorders classified as prion-like diseases

    Specialized proresolving mediators protect against experimental autoimmune myocarditis by modulating Ca2+ handling and NRF2 activation

    Specialized proresolving mediators and, in particular, 5(S), (6)R, 7-trihydroxyheptanoic acid methyl ester (BML-111) emerge as new therapeutic tools to prevent cardiac dysfunction and deleterious cardiac damage associated with myocarditis progression. The cardioprotective role of BML-111 is mainly caused by the prevention of increased oxidative stress and nuclear factor erythroid-derived 2-like 2 (NRF2) down-regulation induced by myocarditis.     Effectiveness of rotavirus vaccination in Spain

    With the aim of determining rotavirus vaccine effectiveness (RVVE) in Spain, from Oct-2008/Jun-2009, 467 consecutive children below 2 years old with acute gastroenteritis (AGE) were recruited using a pediatric research network (ReGALIP-www.regalip.org) that includes primary, emergency and hospital care settings. Of 467 enrolled children, 32.3% were rotavirus positive and 35.0% had received at least one dose of any rotavirus vaccine. RRVE to prevent any episode of rotavirus AGE was 91.5% (95% CI: 83.7%-95.6%). RVVE to prevent hospitalization by rotavirus AGE was 95.6% (85.6-98.6%). No differences in RVVE were found regarding the vaccine used. Rotavirus vaccines have showed an outstanding effectiveness in Spain
