Quelques perspectives d'avenir ouvertes par les recherches zootechniques pour les productions de viande bovine : maîtrise de la reproduction

[fre] Les problèmes techniques posés par la production de la viande bovine sont liés à la production et à la croissance des jeunes animaux et aux contraintes sociales dans la production animale. . Pour augmenter la productivité du troupeau à viande, un certain nombre de perspectives s'offrent pour la recherche zootechnique : . — maîtriser les cycles sexuels par blocage de certaines activités hypophysaires : 25 jours après le traitement, 80 à 85 % des vaches traitées peuvent être gestantes ; . — accroître la fertilité du troupeau femelle par sélection ; . — accroître la prolificité par superovulation provoquée : 25 % de naissances gémellaires ont été ainsi obtenues chez des vaches de race Française Frisonne Pie Noire ; . — contrôler la parturition ; . — contrôler la structure sociale des groupes de bovins.
