THE NECESSITY OF PROTECTING LIVES: THE LUCAS LAW AS A STARTING POINT FOR OTHER LABOR SECTORS

Objective: To analyze the importance of first aid within the business context, highlighting the necessity and benefits of training employees to effectively handle emergency situations. Theoretical Framework: The Lucas Law prevents tragedies by training professionals for emergencies, increasing survival rates. It emphasizes the importance of daily preparedness and serves as a starting point for promoting public policies that encourage companies to train employees in first aid. Method: A qualitative research was conducted in scientific articles, using an integrative literature review, identifying the theme and guiding question; establishing inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results and Discussion: It is estimated that workplace accidents cause an annual loss of 4% of the global gross domestic product (GDP), with Brazil ranking fourth worldwide in fatal workplace accidents. Research with rural workers showed that 11% suffered some work-related accident within a year. These data highlight the importance of proper training for the prevention of workplace accidents. Research Implications: This research highlights the importance of first aid training in the business environment, promoting a safe workplace and influencing public policies on accident prevention. Originality/Value: This study underscores the critical need for first aid in the business environment, offering an innovative approach to training. Síndrome de Bournout em enfermeiros da atenção básica à saúde

Background and Objective: Burnout Syndrome (BS) also known as burnout is described as a phenomenon composed of feelings of failure and exhaustion, caused by excessive wear and energy resources, mediated by practice and work stress. In this sense, the nurse Primary Health Care (PHC) is not exempted in the development of the syndrome in question, since it is a profession that develops their work activities through direct contact with patients and families, making workloads too much which can depreciate the quality of care. This study becomes relevant because it will contribute to the PHC nurses have deeper knowledge of the BS, and few studies at this level of health care. He stood as guiding question: What is the prevalence of BS nurses in the PHC based in Brazilian literature from 2000 to 2014? And as objective to determine the prevalence of BS nurses in the PHC. Content: This is an integrative literature review. To that end, we conducted survey of manuscripts published from 2000 to 2014, using as descriptors, in combination: nurse; burnout and primary care in the Virtual Health Library (VHL). Conclusion: It is not yet possible to know the prevalence of BS nurses in the PHC due to lack of studies in the area. KEYWORDS: Nurse. Burnout, Professional. Primary Health Care.Justificativa e Objetivo: O Burnout conhecido também como esgotamento profissional é descrito como fenômeno composto por sentimentos de fracasso e exaustão, tendo como causa um excessivo desgaste de energia e recursos, mediados pela prática e estresse laboral. Neste sentido, o(a) enfermeiro(a) da Atenção Básica à Saúde (ABS) não se isentou no desenvolvimento da síndrome em questão, visto que a profissão que desenvolve suas atividades laborais através do contato direto com pacientes e familiares, perfazendo cargas horárias em demasia o que pode depreciar a qualidade da assistência prestada. Assim, este estudo se torna pertinente, pois contribuirá para que os enfermeiros de ABS tenham conhecimento mais aprofundado da SB, sendo escassos os estudos neste nível de atenção à saúde. Levantou-se como questão norteadora: qual a prevalência da SB em enfermeiros da ABS com base na literatura brasileira de 2000 a 2014? E como objetivo, conhecer a prevalência da SB em enfermeiros da ABS. Conteúdo: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura. Para tanto, foi realizado levantamento de manuscritos publicados no período de 2000 a 2014, utilizando como descritores, de forma combinada: enfermeiro; esgotamento profissional e atenção primária na Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS).
