DENTALNI STATUS BESKONTAKTNIH SPORTAÅ A
The relationship between dental status of athletes involved in non-contact power sports and their professional level was studied. Data on 60 young men were analyzed, divided into three groups: group 1 (n=20) included non-professional athletes, group 2 (n=20) professionals, and group 3 (control, n=20) men, not engaged in sports. The examination included interviewing and determining dental status, as follows: caries intensity (KPI index (h)), oral hygiene status (OHI-S scale), periodontal status (PBI, PMA, PI indices), microvasculature status (V.I. Kulazhenko test) and viscosity of mixed saliva (according to T.L. Redinova and A.R. Pozdeev). In professional athletes, compared with amateurs, more pronounced deviations of dental status were revealed, i.e. by the PMA index 1.7 times, by the bleeding index (PBI) 1.2 times, by the PI index 1.2 times, and by Kulazhenko sample 1.2 times (p<0.05); saliva viscosity after training was 1.3 times higher than that of non-professionals (p<0.05), which could be associated with intense physical and psycho-emotional stress and consequential impairment of the water-electrolyte metabolism. Non-contact sports athletes demonstrated low alertness regarding the occurrence of dental pathology, and there was a high degree of dental status disorders.Ispitivana je povezanost dentalnog statusa sportaÅ”a koji se bave beskontaktnim sportom i njihova profesionalna razina. Analizirani su podatci 60 mladih muÅ”karaca podijeljenih u tri skupine: prva skupina (n=20) ukljuÄila je sportaÅ”e amatere, druga (n=20) profesionalne sportaÅ”e, a treÄa (n=20) je bila kontrolna skupina koju su Äinile osobe koje se ne bave sportom. U ispitivanju se koristio intervju i utvrÄivanje dentalnog stastusa: intenzitet karijesa ā indeks KPI (h)ā”, higijena usne Å”upljine (ljestvica OHI-S), periodontalni status (ljestvice PMI, PMA, PI), stanje mikrovaskulature (test V. I. Kulaženka) i mijeÅ”ana slina (prema T. L. Redinovoj i A. R. Pozdeevu). UtvrÄeno je da su profesionalni sportaÅ”i u usporedbi sa sportaÅ”ima amaterima imali izraženija odstupanja dentalnog statusa: u indeksu PMA 1,7 puta, indeksu krvarenja (PBI) 1,2 puta, 1,2 puta u testu V. I. Kulaženka (p<0,05); viskozitet sline nakon treninga bio je 1,3 puta viÅ”i nego kod amatera (p<0,05), Å”to se može povezati s intenzivnim fi ziÄkim i psiho-emocionalnim stresom i posljediÄnim poremeÄenjem metabolizma vode i elektrolita. Beskontaktni sportaÅ”i pokazivali su nisku svijest s obzirom na pojavu dentalne patologije, a postoji visok stupanj poremeÄaja dentalnog statusa
Developing reflective competence of university students through network volunteering
The article describes the facilities of volunteering for students in social pedagogy and medicine during their professional training. Theoretical and methodological basis for developing studentsā reflective competence, facilities for modeling it and implementing it at university through volunteering are considered. Successful development of reflective competence of students is viewed through volunteering and based on mastering the ways of social and professional behavior and new social roles. It is implemented in uneven-aged groups and depends on conscious choice of contents, forms, methods and means of training at university. That is what constitutes the concept of the research. The aim of the study is to develop, substantiate and implement theoretical and conceptual grounds for developing reflective competence of students in pedagogy and medicine at university through volunteering. The research experimentally proved the important role of volunteering in developing reflective competence of future specialists at university. It showed the correlation of characteristics of educational space at university and facilities for transferring effective reflective practices to volunteering. The results of the research indicate that developing reflective competence of future specialists through volunteering is a long process which should be specially organized. The aim of improving studentās reflective competence is personal and professional self-development. Based on the studied scientific literature, the authors revealed the characteristics of volunteering as a social and pedagogical phenomenon which had a positive influence on social and professional development of students
