Effect of Different Doses of QuitoMax on the Growth of Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) Seedlings
The experiment was carried out in the laboratory at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, University of Granma. The aim of the experiment was to evaluate the effect of QuitoMax on seed germination and the growth of cucumber seedlings. Four experimental variants were evaluated: 1.5, 1, 0.5, and 0.25 concentrations, in which the seeds were imbibed for 4 hours. The dynamics of germination, height, and fresh mass of the seedlings were evaluated 15 days after. The results showed the effect of QuitoMax on germination dynamics. The seeds in the 1.5 concentration underwent the shortest germination time, and showed the best effect on plant height. The fresh mass increased in the 1.5 concentration

Efecto de diferentes dosis de QuitoMax en el crecimiento de pl谩ntulas de pepino (Cucumis sativus L.)
The experiment was carried out under laboratory conditions, in the Agricultural Sciences Faculty of the University of Granma, with the objective of evaluating the effect of QuitoMax over the germination of the seeds and the growth of cucumber plant. Four experimental variants were evaluated: concentrations of 1,5; 1; 0,5; 0,25 , in which the seeds were absorbed during 4 hours. The germination dynamics, height and green biomass, were evaluated fifteen days after germination. The results showed that there was effect of the concentration of QuitoMax in the germination dynamics. The seeds absorbed in the concentration 1,5 , they had the smallest time of germination and the best effect on the plant height. The green biomass was increased with the increase of the concentrations, being observed the biggest increase with the concentration of 1,5 .El experimento se desarroll贸 en condiciones de laboratorio, en la facultad de Ciencias Agropecuarias de la Universidad de Granma, con el objetivo de evaluar el efecto QuitoMax sobre la germinaci贸n de las semillas y el crecimiento de pl谩ntulas de pepino. Se evaluaron cuatro variantes experimentales: concentraciones de 1,5; 1; 0,5; 0,25 , en la cuales se embebieron las semillas durante 4 horas. Se valu贸 la din谩mica de germinaci贸n, altura y, masa fresca de las pl谩ntulas a los 15 d铆as. Los resultados mostraron que hubo efecto de la concentraci贸n de QuitoMax en la din谩mica de germinaci贸n. Las semillas embebidas en la concentraci贸n 1,5 , tuvieron el menor tiempo de germinaci贸n y el mejor efecto sobre la altura de la planta.
