INERTIAL SYSTEM USED TO ANALYZE THE NORMAL AND PATHOLOGICAL HUMAN GAIT

    No full text
Abstract -Human motion analysis is one of research directions which present an increased interest worldwide because of the complete information that we can get about the human walking act, normal or pathological, in order to confirm or exclude a diagnosis or to monitor patients who are following motor recovery program. In accordance with these new requirements there are a number of equipments developed that provide information about variables, parameters and determinants of human gait allowing a complete analysis of it, but most are dependent on laboratory use. We designed a device that can be used both laboratory and ambulatory, with a high degree of portability due to its small size and autonomy of the battery for several hours

    Technological particularities of laser manufacturing

The paper presents some investigations about the influence of the Nd:YAG laser welding parameters on the penetration and metal evaporation of single and dual pass weld in the case of thin sections of stainless steel sample. The metal loss during welding process was measured in order to establish the optimal values of welding parameters. The geometric size of the welded zone was measured using an SEM microscope in order to establish the correlation between the penetration and with at different values of welding parameters

Device Used for Magnetic Treatment of Fuel Fluids before Burner

    No full text
Worldwide magnetism was considered a "stepchild" of electromagnetism, but lately this has changed, and scientists give it great importance today, making a series of studies in which it is the main "actor". Regarding the magnetostatic field, the appearance of magnets with high performance, has led the development of permanent magnet structures with different technical applications, which successfully replace electromagnets. In this paper our main objective was to design and test a device used for magnetic treatment of fuel fluid which flow through pipes before burner to improve combustion dynamics and decrease the released fumes

Abstract In case of metallic materials laser processing the type of the laser unit affects fundamentally the interaction process between laser radiation and material. For laser welding process, the weld bead profile depends on various parameters such as beam power, welding speed and wavelength of the laser radiation. In order to investigate the influence of the laser radiation wavelength on the absorptivity level of the material three different laser generators (Nd:YAG -λ=1060nm, Diode Laser -λ=904 nm and CO2 laser -λ=10600 nm) were used for a complex experimental study on laser welding of AISI 316L. The evaluation of the seam quality was performed by studying the features of weld bead, such as bead width, depth of penetration and cross section area of the molten pool

Experimental Researches Regarding Mechanical Behaviour of Dental Prototypes realized by Additive Technologies

    No full text
The paper presents the behaviour of dental models subjected to mechanical loads. Maxillary dental arcade was obtained by additive technologies – fused deposition modelling and digital light processing. Also, it were used different materials - ABS, CarbonFil, biocompatible ABS, photopolymeric resin and the dental prototypes were tested in two areas - molar and central incisor zones with a transducer force HV 500. The experimental results highlighted the behaviour of the dental models realized by additive technologies in order to determine the maximum compressive force and maximum deformation of the maxillary in function of the material and the technology used
