Investigation of ground shaking characteristics by using spatially dense microtremor measurements in Kouhoku Ward, Yokohama City
In general the characteristics of seismic motion is strongly influenced by surface soil condition. It is pointed out that the earthquake damage level is different depending on the soil structure, even if the same characteristics of earthquake such as magnitude and epicentral distance. Now, we are investigating the ground shaking characteristics due to the surface soil condition in Yokohama City in order to realize the detailed seismic microzoning.\nIn this paper, we performed the spatially dense microtremor measurements and evaluated the predominant period distribution in Kouhoku Ward. Finally, we investigated the relationship between the predominant period and surface soil structure
