    ACCEPTANCE OF MULTIMEDIA MICROTEACHING LABORATORY AS A CORRELATE OT ITS ACTUAL USAGE AND INTEREST AMONG COLLEGE OF EDUCATION PRESERVICE TEACHERS IN SOUTHWEST NIGERIA

    Micro teaching, which enables the translation of theory into practice, is one method for gaining skills in the teaching profession. Pre-service teachers require microteaching as a method of instruction in order to develop their teaching abilities. Pre-service teachers frequently practice and learn the teaching abilities they require through training in a controlled laboratory environment setting (Micro-Teaching Laboratory). The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the acceptance of multimedia microteaching laboratory as a correlate of actual usage and interest among college of education pre-service teachers in Southwest Nigeria. The population of the study consist of all the 321 pre-service teachers in (Year III) who have done teaching practice in Federal College of Education, Akoka, Nigeria. Simple random sampling was used to select a total of 84 students in the colleges of education. Based on the findings, the study concluded that colleges of education students have interest in the use multimedia microteaching laboratory, because they have a positive attitude and it is easy to use, useful and they actually use it.
