Implementation of Literacy Based Approach to Enhance the Communicative Skill in ELT

This study was conducted to review the failure of teaching English in ELT to reach the objective of the curriculum, especially in communicative skills. The methodology of the study was descriptive qualitative with library research as the approach. The result showed that the literacy approach is conducted to achieve the effective communicative skills for the students. The literacy has been developed not only read and write but furthermore in using the knowledge in order to help student role in society. Furthermore, this study revealed some theory and technique supporting the literacy approach in the classroom. It is suggested to the teacher to enrich their capacity in order to preparing the next curriculum so they can understand and act in the classroom as the literate teache

HUBUNGAN ANTARA KEGIATAN PARENTING EDUCATION DAN KEMAMPUAN SOSIALISASI ANAK USIA DINI DI PAUD MUTIARA HATI KEPUTIH SURABAYA

Di era modern seperti saat ini, orang tua dituntut lebih mengikuti perkembangan jaman agar dapatmengontrol pergaulan dari anak-anak mereka. Keluarga merupakan unit utama dalam mendidik danmembimbing anak khususnya anak usia dini yang merupakan usia dimana anak mengalamipertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang pesat, sering disebut sebagai usia emas atau golden age. Olehkarena itu upaya mengembangkan kemampuan dan potensi anak usia dini diperlukan suatu programkegiatan untuk mensinergikan antara pendidik PAUD dengan orang tua melalui program pendidikankeorangtuaan (parenting education). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antarapelaksanaan program parenting education yang diselenggarakan dengan kemampuan sosialisasi anakusia dini di PAUD Mutiara Hati Keputih Surabaya. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasidan penyebaran angket. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu rumus korelasiproduct moment. STUDI EMPIRIS GOOD CORPORATE GOVERNANCE, CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY DAN MANAJEMEN LABA PADA PERUSAHAAN MANUFAKTUR DI INDONESIA

This study aims to examine the effect of good corporate governance and corporate social responsibility mechanisms on earnings management. This research was conducted on manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2018. The number of samples obtained is 332 firm years. The method used in this research is quantitative method using multiple linear regression analysis technique. The results showed that the audit committee, the board of commissioners and corporate social responsibility had no effect on earnings management. Meanwhile, institutional ownership and managerial ownership have a negative effect on earnings management. This is due to the ineffectiveness of the audit committee and independent commissioners in carrying out their duties, as well as the low implementation of corporate social responsibility in the sample companies in this study. While institutional ownership and managerial ownership partially affect earnings management. This proves that institutional investors are more concerned and careful about the profitability of companies that will benefit them. Managerial investors will feel they own the company both as decision makers and as a form of accountability for every decision taken by the manager. So that the better management performance in the company and earnings management will be minimized

Pengembangan Modul Pembelajaran Sistem Pernafasan Menggunakan Metode Mind Map Untuk Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Rambah Hilir

This research aims to determine the development module feasibility respiratory systems using methods mind map for class VIII the state junior higt school 3 Rambah Hilir. This type of research is (of research and development). This research had been condusted in January to august until 2016. The data Collected in this research is the result of sheets of validation by experts and by the result of the questionnaire of teachers and students as well as data analized in descriptive. The result indicated that module respiratory systems using methods mind map for students of class VIII the state junior higt school 3 Rambah Hilir. Based on material expert 76,67% (worthy), linguists 75,00 % (worthy) and media experts 75,00 % (worthy). The result of the trial of individuals 88,89% (very worthy) the trial of a small scale 92,86 % (very worthy) and the trial of a large scale 91,67 % (very worthy) and teachers 85,42 % (very worthy). The Praxis of Grammatical Approach in EFL class, from Theory to Pedagogic

Definitions of grammar often refer to the study of language as a system of words that demonstrate some apparent rule of structure and arrangement into sentences. Sometimes the definition includes pronunciation, meaning of words, and history of words (etymology). Some definitions emphasize grammar as a system of rules in a language. In simplest term, grammar covers the rules that govern the way our communication system works. In order to meet the need of grammar teaching, in pedagogical field, there have been some methods and approach which are applied. However, critics pertaining to the weaknesses of such methodology have been aroused. The main question as the result of the quest for better methodology for grammar teaching is what appropriate method or approach as an alternative way of grammar teaching is. This theoretical research is aimed to propose the influential alternative approach for grammar teaching. This study will start by describing the historical view of grammar teaching and pointing out the link between language input and pedagogical mediation, in plain language between grammars and teaching, by introducing and redefining the concept of pedagogical grammar. Eventually, as the ultimate aim of this research this study is going to explain the current development of grammar teaching, lexical approach, as the problem solver concerning with grammar teaching

The Creative Process of Dance in Genye Art in Purwakarta District

The development of the times has always made the younger generation face modern art. Many of them also focus on continuing, preserving and developing the arts that were born in the community, so that they become meaningful arts. In the end, the art can function as a means of identity that strengthens human dignity and society. Genye art born in Purwakarta Regency, West Java, is still maintained, preserved and developed by artists and local communities. The creative process carried out departs from the previous form of presentation of the Genye Art performance by paying attention to aspects of choreography, makeup, clothing and property. The purpose of this research is to describe the creative process of dance with the development of Genye artistry in terms of choreography, makeup, clothing, and property. This research method uses descriptive analysis method with a qualitative approach. Data was collected by means of observation, interviews and documentation studies in the form of performance photos, photos of the development process and videos of Genye art that have been developed. The results showed that genye art underwent changes and development in terms of choreography which continued to change and develop, makeup and property from 2010 to 2023 at this time, which made this genye art continue to develop and be preserved to become the most prominent art in Purwakarta Regency. This research can provide motivation to artists and the community so that they can continue to maintain, maintain, preserve and develop the arts that were born and grow in their area, namely the arts that characterize the Purwakarta Regency, namely "Genye Art".  

Hubungan Antara Kepemimpinan Tranformasional Dengan Kepuasan Kerja Pada Karyawan

Setiap perusahaan menginginkan karyawannya memiliki rasa kepuasan kerja tinggi. Kepuasan kerja merupakan suatu sikap yang positif dari para karyawan terhadap kondisi kerja dan situasi kerja, termasuk di dalamnya masalah finansial, kondisi sosial, kondisi fisik dan kondisi psikologis. Banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi kepuasan kerja, salah satunya adalah faktor dari pimpinan. satu diantaranya adalah tipe kepemimpinan tranformasonal. Kepemimpinan trasformasional didasarkan pada pengaruh dan hubungan pemimpin dengan karyawan atau bawahan. Para karyawan merasa percaya, mengagumi, loyal, dan menghormati pimpinan, serta memiliki komitmen dan motivasi yang tinggi untuk berprestasi. Tujuan penelitian, yaitu ingin mengetahui: (1) Hubungan antara kepemimpinan transformasional dengan kepuasan kerja pada karyawan. (2) Tingkat kepemimpinan transformasional. (3) Tingkat kepuasan kerja pada karyawan. (4) Besar sumbangan efektif kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap kepuasan kerja pada karyawan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh karyawan yang bekerja di CV Tunas Jaya berjumlah 128 karyawan. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah bagian produksi CV Tunas Jaya dengan jumlah karyawan 53 orang, rinciannya 38 karyawan laki-laki dan 15 karyawan perempuan. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan quota sampling. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan skala pengukuran psikologis yaitu skala kepuasan kerja dan skala kepemimpinan transformasional. Analisis data menggunakan korelasi product moment. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini yaitu : (1) Ada hubungan positif yang sangat signifikan antara gaya kepemimpinan transformasional dengan kepuasan kerja pada karyawan CV. Tunas Jaya. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan hasil r = 0,253 dengan p = 0,004 (p ≤ 0,01). (2) Kategori kepemimpinan transformasional tergolong tinggi dengan rerata empirik (ME) = 109,057 dan rerata hipotetik (MH) = 92,5. (3) Kategori kepuasan kerja tergolong tinggi dengan rerata empirik (ME) = 105,113 dan rerata hipotetik (MH) = 85. (4) Sumbangan efektif kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap kepuasan kerja pada karyawan CV. Tunas Jaya sebesar 0,064 atau 6,4%. Hal ini berarti masih terdapat 93,6% dari beberapa variabel lain, selain variabel kepemimpinan transformasional yang mempengaruhi kepuasan kerja. Variabel-variabel lain yang berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan kerja di antaranya yaitu variabel kompensasi, lingkungan kerja, dan komitmen organisasi

Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Herbarium Pada Materi Organ Tumbuhan Di SMP N 5 Rambah Hilir

The purpose of the research to determine the feasibility of learning media at the herbarium material plants organ at grade VII SMPN 5 Rambah Hilir. This Research was done from June to August 2016. The type of the research was the development of research (Research and development) which developed by Dick and Carey and have been modified. The data collection was done by using the questionnaire and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the learning media herbarium material plants organ at grade VII SMPN 5 Rambah Hilir based on thevalidation of subject matter experts (81.24%) by the categorized as very feasible, validation media expert (72,91%) with feasible category, individual testing (95,7%) with the very feasible category, small group trial (94%) categorized as very feasible and field trials (95,78%) categorized as very feasible
