Muslim self-concept measurement model: towards filling the research gap of self-concept among Muslims
A person’s understanding of self is significantly associated with the world view that he or she believes in. This self
understanding concept shall only be well established if it is viewed from the perspective that is connected to real
epistemology. The importance of this understanding is due to its influence on human perception in all matters related
to themselves. As a Muslim with an ultimate goal, which is the happiness of the world and the hereafter, then the real
conceptualisation of oneself is essential. However, the influence of secularism and dualism that exist in the education
stream is disconcerting in this regard. Therefore, the concept of self in Islam shall be examined and re-assessed. To
evaluate the self-concept of a Muslim, the concept and instrument used must be based on the Islamic philosophy and
realm. However, the variety of instruments used to evaluate the existing self-concept are in accordance with the Western
epistemology, which contradicts the Islamic world view to describe the self-concept of a Muslim. Thus, this study
aims to propose an ideal self-concept evaluation model for studies involving Muslims. In conclusion, there are limited
studies carried out and leave a decent impact to researchers, especially in the field of Education and Psychology and Humanities
Ruqyah syariyyah and the emotional regulation of children with autism
One in a hundred children in Malaysia are diagnosed with autism and their numbers are increasing. In general, autism refers to the imbalance that occurs in the brain and nervous system resulting in impaired language, behaviour and social interactions. Usually, autistic children require clinical treatment. This study explores the alternative treatment modalities, such as the practice of reading ruqyah syariyyah to autistic children based on specific procedures involving self-reading or being read to. The objectives of this study were to identify the emotional and behavioural issues faced by autistic children, to understand the extent of the practice and implementation of ruqyah syariyyah reading exercises, the challenges faced in conducting this treatment, and the impact of ruqyah reading in regulating the emotions and behaviour of such children. This case study is based on interviews with five teachers and observations of four students with autism. Two students each were identified in the low and high functioning categories. The study was conducted at the Quran Education Center for Children with Special Needs (Faqeh Foundation). The study found that the practice of reading ruqyah syariyyah using certain modalities helps children with autism in regulating their emotions and thus their behaviour. Accordingly, the alternative treatment which involves the use of ruqyah syariyyah reading practices for children with autism is highly recommended
The significant correlation between self-efficacy and goal orientation with the role of Islamic education teachers as a society change agent
The role of Islamic education teacher (IET) as society change agent (SCA) requires a strong internal motivation factor. It begins with confidence in self-ability, which is self-efficacy (SE) in implementing the trust given to them. In addition, goal orientation (GO) is also important in ensuring that the effort is successful. The study aims to assess the relationshipbetweenSEandGOofIETinMalaysiawiththeroleofSCAinsociety. This studyaimstoassesstherelationshipbetweenSEITEinMalaysiawiththeroleofSCAin society. This quantitative study has involved 1382 IETs in Malaysia. But the role of IET as SCA is at less satisfactory level. Furthermore, SE and GO have been identified to have significant correlation with IET's role as SCA but was at low and weak level. The implication is, the study finds that the focus should be on restoring IET's mindset about the community's work and developing the ummah, as well as the 21st century teaching and learning (T&L) skills. Enhancing spiritual inclusion: A systematic literature review on the intersection of disabilities and worship practices among people with disabilities
Purpose: This article aims to conduct a comprehensive systematic literature review (SLR) of previous research focused on PWD and worship, with a specific emphasis on understanding, needs, social support and challenges. Design/methodology/approach: The study adopts the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-analysis (PRISMA) guidelines to structure the SLR, drawing on this widely used publication standard within the fields of medicine and public health. Prism’s 27-item framework aids in the formulation of precise research questions and facilitates systematic searching and synthesis of studies, thereby minimizing biases. Findings: This study identifies four main themes: understanding, needs, social support and challenges. Research limitations/implications: To find articles and related resources included in this SLR, three main databases, Scopus, and two supporting databases, BASE and Google Scholar, were used. Practical implications: As a result, the theme of the challenge is the aggravation that, if not solved, has a detrimental influence on the disabled, particularly in terms of awareness and financial aid. If referred to, the findings of this study are expected to aid relevant parties in developing policies that are in keeping with the capabilities and requirements of the disabled in assisting them in performing worship more successfully. Originality/value: This article will have a significant impact on researchers, the PWD community, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and governing bodies

Towards an Uthmanic Model of Quranic Orthography in Braille
The adaptation of Braille in writing the Quran is one of the most important contributions of the Muslims to ensure that the visually challenged amongst them are able to learn and readthe words of God. To date, Muslim countries, including Malaysia, have produced their own versions of the Quran in Braille, yet these Qurans are not based on the Uthmanic method of Quranic orthography. Consequently, this has led to variations, mistakes and inconsistencies in the spelling and marking of the Quranic verses. In this paper, the aim is to propose an Uthmanic model of Quranic orthography in Braille. It focuses on the chapter of Maryam as its sample and applies the qualitative methods of textual and comparative analysis on the revelational criteria of Quranic orthography and the limitations of the Braille writing system. This results in a more standardized and adaptable model of Quranic orthography in Braille with minimal changes in theuse of vocalization and other diacritical marks of the Quran. Currently, this model is proposed toserve as a basis for the development of a national standard of Quranic orthography in Braille by the relevant authorities in cooperation with the visually challenged organizations in Malaysia

Abstract
In comparison to parents of typically developing children, parents of children with special needs are subject to elevated levels of stress. Without systematic and thorough support and aid from the government or charity groups, it is extremely challenging for these parents to give the finest care and nurture for their exceptional children. On the basis of the current module, it was determined that there is a deficit in the area of emotional regulation for parents of disabled children. For the establishment of a prosperous family, this paper will stress the initial debate regarding the emotional regulation of parents of disadvantaged children based on the Sunnah of the Prophet. Correct emotional regulation is essential for ensuring that parents can manage their emotions in order to prevent incorrect acts while raising children with special needs. This is due to the fact that the majority of incidents of neglect and abuse of children with disabilities are caused by a lack of parental emotional management skills. This article seeks to achieve an amount of objectives, namely: 1. issues and challenges of families with impaired children, 2. emotional regulation and its significance in managing challenged children, and 3. emotional regulation solutions for parenting disabled children in accordance with Islam. This work is based on library research using journal articles that highlight the most recent concerns and challenges experienced by parents with disabled children. In addition, references are made to literature on emotional regulation and its significance. The verses of the Quran and the hadith of the Prophet SAW were also studied in order to acquire Islamic instruction for the most effective emotional regulation, particularly in relation to the emotional strain felt by the worried parents. This article is seen crucial in offering parents with information and skills on emotional regulation tactics for parenting children with special needs. Not only can it assist parents in controlling their emotions to foster a healthy family environment, but it may also organize advocacy efforts over time towards the formation of an inclusive community.
