Letter services in the academic section of Lambung Mangkurat University include students and alumni. The manual correspondence system, i.e. the proposer of letters must come directly to the Academic Section, becomes an obstacle for students and alumni who are out of town. From these obstacles, the solution is in the form of building a mailing service information system in the website-based academic section that can assist in the service of the letter. The analytical method used is the PIECES method, which is the analytical method as the basis for obtaining more specific issues. The analysis is described by discussing UML to stakeholders. The design uses Laravel with MySQL MariaDB database. The website is designed with 10 tables with 3 user levels, namely proposer, coordinator, and leader. Testing this system using Black Box with 49 test scenarios. The results of the design of the academic section of the correspondence website can be built. Blackbox testing gives 100% results according to all functions on the academic letter service website.                                                                                                                                              &nbsp

DESIGN OF AN INVENTORY INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR LABORATORY SUPPLIES

Data is inaccurate because it does not have a relevant data repository, data can be lost or damaged, inefficient data search and technicians cannot know for sure the amount of stock available. Based on some of the research above, the inventory information system for Laboratory goods in the Information Technology Study Program will be designed and built based on a website using the Laravel framework. The system development method used is the Incremental model. Incremental models are the result of a combination of elements from the waterfall model that are applied repeatedly, or it can be called a combination of the waterfall model and the Prototype Model. During testing, many errors were found in the system. Testing was carried out 4 times with a total of 164 test cases. In the first test, 98 bugs were found which were then reported to the programmer to be fixed. In the second test, 40 errors were found, in the third test, 19 errors were found, and in the last test conducted by the examiner, 0 bugs were found. The design of the Laboratory Goods Inventory Information System (SIMBA) begins with analyzing the weaknesses of the old system using the PIECES method. Then proceed with conducting a system requirements analysis and system feasibility analysis. After the analysis phase, it is continued with the design stage which begins with the UML design method

Tolerance level of grafted papaya plants against papaya dieback disease

Papaya (Carica papaya) cultivars commonly grown in Malaysia, namely Sekaki and Eksotika, are very susceptible to papaya dieback disease (PDD), resulting in reduced production of papayas. As an alternative, grafted papaya seedling using Viorica variety as a highly tolerant rootstock can be introduced to combat PDD. Three grafting combinations of scion/rootstock were used in this study namely Eksotika/Eksotika (E/E), Eksotika/Viorica (E/V) and Viorica/Viorica (V/V). These grafted plants were tested over hot-spot diseased location to evaluate their field tolerance levels against PDD for 14 months of exposure. The occurrence of PDD on grafted papaya plants showed that the disease was mostly found in the E/E combination, with disease severity of 86.7% and a disease score of 4.34, whereas the disease severity and disease score of E/V grafting was 71.0% and 3.55, respectively. The lowest disease occurrence was recorded on V/V plants, with a disease severity of 34.3% and a disease score of 1.72. Results showed that E/E and E/V were highly susceptible, while V/V was tolerant against PDD. Therefore, papaya var. Viorica rootstock proved that it could influence the tolerance level of papaya cv.
