Influence of Personality and Educational Level on Nigerian Consumers Preference for Foreign Goods
This study examined the Influence of Educational Level and Personality on Nigerian Consumer for Foreign Goods. The study used 253 final year students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Ordinary National Diploma Students (OND) and Higher National Diploma Students (HND) of Federal Polytechnic Oko, both in Anambra State of Nigeria. The sample was selected through convenient sampling technique. The participants were composed of 51% male and 49% female students; between the age ranges of 19 to 30 years. The mean and standard deviation of their ages were 23.31 and 4.67. The study used Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (E.P.Q) (adult form) and Consumer Perception Scale (C.P.S) to measure the variables of interest. A two-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) statistics was used to analyse data gathered from the scales administered. The study found that personality traits and educational level individually, have significant influence on Nigerian consumers’ preference for foreign goods, at .05 level of significance. Sexual Abuse of Children in Awka, Anambra State Nigeria
This exploratory study used sixty six (66) children as research participants aimed at establishing the following: the incidence of sexual abuse of children in Awka, the Anambra State Capital of Nigeria, and its environs; the profiles of the victims and assailants; the motivational factors associated with the problem. Findings revealed a high incidence of sexual abuse among children in Awka and its environment. The result also showed that almost every child is vulnerable to being sexually abused by parents, guardians, relatives, caretakers or strangers. Attitudinal Factors Associated with Prostate Cancer among Adult Males in South Eastern Nigeria
Prostate cancer is one of the most common and lethal cancers in the world. The incidence of prostate cancer has been increasing in recent years. Beliefs and awareness towards prostate cancer screening among men is very crucial for early detection and management of the condition. In Nigeria, it is the most common male cancer and maybe as high as that seen in African Americans in the united states.
