Decoding Language Style Utilized by Men and Women on Instagram
This research aimed to find out the language style used by men and woman influencers on Instagram. The method that was used in this research was the descriptive qualitative method. The researcher collected the data from the captions on six (3 women and 3 men) selected Instagram accounts; some of the influencers are from the same backgrounds. The data were analyzed based on the theory proposed by Leech who stated that there are four general headings of language style: lexical categories, grammatical categories, figures of speech, and context and cohesion. The result of this study showed that, in the lexical categories, men and women use all kinds of nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs based on the objective of the captions. The researcher discovered a wide variety of sentence patterns in the grammatical categories through the captions, including declarative, command, exclamation, question, and minor sentences. The researcher discovered three different types of phrases namely: noun phrases, verb phrases, and adjective phrases. Both men and women use the figure of speech features in their Instagram captions. Related to context and cohesion, interpersonal and situational information is employed in their captions. Additionally, the researcher primarily discovered reference kinds despite the fact that both men and women employed all forms of cohesiveness
Exploring the American Family Values in “Yes Day” Movie (A Cinematic Analysis)
This study intends to investigate how American family values are portrayed and represented in the film "Yes Day." The study explores the themes, characters, and narrative components of the movie using a cinematic analysis approach to discover the underlying values and messages related to the American family. An overview of "Yes Day" as a cultural phenomenon in American society is given at the outset of the study. It focuses on the practice's potential effects on family dynamics and values while examining the practice's history and significance. The analysis next turns its attention to the actual film, going over its story, characters, and general presentation. The results of this study help us understand how American family values are portrayed in modern movies. The study also emphasizes some values such as togetherness, stability, and loyalty. Overall, this study provides a thorough examination of how the American family values depicted in "Yes Day" were captured through cinematic analysis. It contributes to the current conversation about family values in American culture and offers insights into the intricacies of modern family interactions.

Hasil penelitian ini membantu kita memahami bagaimana nilai-nilai keluarga Amerika digambarkan dalam film-film modern. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini memberikan pemeriksaan menyeluruh tentang bagaimana nilai-nilai keluarga Amerika yang digambarkan dalam "Yes Day" ditangkap melalui analisis sinematik. Ini berkontribusi pada percakapan saat ini tentang nilai-nilai keluarga dalam budaya Amerika dan menawarkan wawasan tentang seluk-beluk interaksi keluarga modern.

THE CULTURAL IDENTITY OF NUSANTARA IN A MOVIE "RAYA AND THE LAST DRAGON “
Raya and the Last Dragon is an animated movie with an adventure theme from Walt Disney Studio which was released in 2021. This movie tells the adventures of a character named Raya who lives onhis birthland named Kumandra. Raya begins her journey to find the last dragon named Sisu to help her defeat an enemy from darkness named Druun and unite the Kumandra again. In this movie, youcan see the design aspects of local wisdom, background,culture, life values and tradition that are still strong andare very authentic and related to the daily life of people in Southeast Asia and one of them contains aspects of Indonesian culture. Therefore, this movie has norms values that reflect the identity of the Indonesian nation in the Southeast Asia region. This study aims to find out how the role of Southeast Asian culture is formed and influences the people in assessing Southeast Asian culture, especially culture from Indonesia. The research method was grounded theory approach and the datais taken from the scene of the movie. The research results show that there are cultural elements that are shown through the values in the Movie Raya and The Last Dragon in the form of character design, asset design and background. These assets are able to build the people’s perception of the culture of Southeast Asia and Indonesia
THE STUDENT’S ACCURACY IN USING DISCOURSE MARKERS FOR ACADEMIC WRITING (A CASE STUDY OF STUDENTS IN ENGLISH AND LITERATURE DEPARTMENT
This research focused on the accuracy of discourse markers used by the students in their academic writing, especially in the thesis background. This research used a qualitative method, analyzed by Bruce Fraser (1999) to identify the elaborative markers. The result of data analysis in this research found the types of discourse markers used in students’ thesis background, which are: the first is contrastive markers such as whereas, otherwise, even though, in contrast, and yet. The second is elaborative markers such as besides, in other words, also, for example, furthermore, and. The last is inferential markers such as so, because, in this case, hence, therefore, then, and in this case. On that basis, the dominant type of discourse markers used in students’ thesis background was elaborative markers which were applied about 11 times. In addition, the researcher found there were 20 discourse markers that were used in the student’s thesis background. This research aims to analyze the policy implementation the mayor of City Regulation Number 11, 2011 about teh Guideline of Society Empowerment Regional Program of East Palu Sub-istrict Palu City, This Researcah employed equality method. It was carried out in Tondo and Talise. East Palu Sub-district. The Informants of this research were bureucrac staff, local people, and the elderly people. Technique of ata collection was observation, interview, and library study. The research result shows that commnucation between the office and stakeholders in implementation the policy was not effective, In addition the resourches of the program Implementation had enaught quality. Dispotition and bureaucracy Structure of the proram implementation were important to was urgent to increase society capasity, not get for individuals but also for groups to solve problems for increasing life quality, self – creativity, an properity. PENGARUH PENERAPAN MODEL INTERACTIVE CONCEPTUAL INSTRUCTION (ICI) BERBANTUAN MEDIA INTERAKTIF TERHADAP HASILBELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI FISIKA DI SMA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan apakah terdapat pengaruh signifikan penerapan model interactive conceptual instruction berbantuan media interaktif terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa di SMA. Penelitian ini dilakukan di dua kelas X IPA SMA N 8 Kota Bengkulu. Sampel penelitian ini diambil menggunakan teknik simple random sampling diperoleh siswa kelasX IPA 1 sebagai kelas uji coba(eksperimen) dan siswa kelas X IPA 3 kelas kontrol. Jumlah siswa yang terlibat sebanyak 66 siswa yang terdiri dari 33 siswa dari kelas X IPA 1 dan 33 siswa kelas X IPA 3. Jenis penlitian ini adalah Quasi Experiment Research tipe nonequivalent control gruop design. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket untuk respon siswa dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan dan tes untuk hasil belajar fisika. Analisis data menggunakan uji t sample independent dengan rumus t test polled varian menggunakan SPSS, uji Effect Size dengan rumus Cohens’d serta uji N-gain untuk hasil belajar fisika. Hasil penelitan menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa antara yang menggunakan model interactive conceptual instruction dengan siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional (sig.(2-tailed) sebesar 0,020<0,05). Sedangkan besar pengaruh, menurut Cohens’d sebesar 0,57 dengan persentase 69 % untuk hasil belajar siswa, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model interactive conceptual instruction berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa di SMA.

This study aims to explain whether there is a significant effect of the application of interactive conceptual instruction model assisted by interactive media on student physics learning outcomes in high school. This research was conducted in two class X IPA SMA N 8 Bengkulu City. The sample of this study was taken using simple random sampling technique obtained by students of class X IPA 1 as a test class (experimental) and students of class X IPA 3 as a control class. The number of students involved were 66 students consisting of 33 students from class X IPA 1 and 33 students from class X IPA 3. This type of research was a Quasi Experiment Research type of nonequivalent control group design. Data collection techniques used questionnaires student respons and implementation observation sheet and tests for physics learning outcomes. Data analysis used independent sample t test with polled variance t test formula using SPSS, Effect Size test with Cohens'd formula and N-gain test for physics learning outcomes. The results of the research show that there is a significant effect on student learning outcomes between those who use the interactive conceptual instruction model and students who are taught using the conventional learning model (sig. (2-tailed) of 0.020<0.05). While the influence, according to Cohens'd, is 0.57 with a percentage of 69% for student learning outcomes, so it can be concluded that the interactive conceptual instruction model has a significant effect on student physics learning outcomes in high school.

MANAJEMEN PEMBELAJARAN MENGGUNAKAN PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH DAN HASIL BELAJAR PADA KONSEP USAHA DAN ENERGI DI KELAS X IPA3 SMA NEGERI 8 KOTA BENGKULU
Penelitian tindakan kelas dengan tujuan meningkatkan aktivitas, kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan hasil belajar pada konsep usaha dan energi yang dilakukan dalam tiga siklus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X IPA3 yang berjumlah 33 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah, dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa aktivitas belajar siswa pada siklus I dengan rata-rata skor sebesar 24, siklus II sebesar 26, siklus III sebesar 27. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada siklus I diperoleh nilai rata-rata 64.51; siklus II diperoleh nilai rata-rata 69.25; siklus III diperoleh nilai rata-rata 72.24. Hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I diperoleh ketuntasan belajar 69.69% dengan nilai rata-rata 74.69, siklus II diperolehketuntasan belajar 78.78% dengan nilai rata-rata 76,21; siklus III diperoleh ketuntasan belajar 90.90% dengan nilai rata-rata 79.09. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa manajemen pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan saintifik dapat meningkatkan aktivitas, kemampuan pemecahan masalah dah hasil belajar siswa.Kata kunci: Pendekatan saintifik, problem solving, pemecahan masalah, siswa hasil belajar
