The development of the output during the last decades and the same time with growing population namely energy, raw material demands for industry and food have highlighted the conflict between man and nature, between the processes of social-economic development and natural resources with troubling consequences on the ecologic balance of the planet. If the models were taken into consideration before the beginning of the present economic-financial global crisis in present we can say that we match the second model: stopping the rhythm of economic development, even if the best model should represent the sustainable development. Of course that elaborating a new development model of the human society means changing the old concepts, particularly the economic ones and aligning them to the specific of the environment management and the conditions of the actual crisis. In this respect, we analyzed to of the basic components of the sustainable development concept: on the one hand, the economy and on the other environmental protection. These components are also starting points for the eco-economy domain, which has to elaborate mechanisms, criteria, instruments, models that can be taken in consideration in an economic-ecologic vision of development of the society.eco-economy, agro-tourist pension, eco-tourist pension, sustainable development, tourism

In the context of the activities specific to the “Sibiu European Gastronomic Region in the year of 2019” project, the sustainable rural development of the five micro regions (Mărginimea Sibiului, Olt Country, Hârtibaciului Valley, Târnavelor Valley and Secaşelor Land), aims to bring a new concept of integrated and systemic approach to the role of promoting traditional activities in which gastronomy plays an important role. Gastronomic touristic products incorporate values of environment, landscape, parts of local culture, traditions, local cuisine, traditional costumes, local food and rituals, associated with gastronomic experience – the way the edibles are served and presented, as well as ingredients, preparation methods. Identifying the culinary destination is one of the challenges of creating touristic products, in which an important role goes to guesthouses. The aim of the paper is to analyze the preferences of the tourists for practicing gastronomic tourism and the involvement of the rural tourism operators in the project, taking into account the types of preferred events. In this regard, it has been elaborated a questionnaire for the tourists accommodated in the rural and agro-touristic guesthouses from two micro regions representative of the Sibiu County, respectively Hârtibaciului Valley and Mărginimea Sibiului. Also, there have been held discussions with the guesthouse’s administrators, who are actively implicated in the diversification of the mass tourist services supply by designing new tourist products, which incorporate traditional reinterpreted recipes, accompanied by a story of the place and source of raw materia

    Transylvania – Romanian Tourism Micro-destination

Although nowadays there are many controversies regarding the three regionalization dimensions (the positive-scientific regionalization, the symbolic- informal regionalization and the normativeformal regionalization) in terms of the modification of the third, due to the norms and principles of the accedence to the European Union and due to the access to the structural funds, the symbolic-informal regionalization (“produced in the collective mental of the individual and group selfidentification, of current practices and that includes the sphere of the culture (…) being not only a factor, but also a result of the social construction” (Benedict, 2000, p. 47)) remains in the same time a supporting element in the development of the regional brand. Thus, the region of Transylvania, in accordance with the results of the conducted research, entirely corresponds with the definition that Passy (2001, p. 16) assigned to the region, namely “on the one hand, a social construction – created by economic, politic, cultural and administrative discourses and practices – but, on the other hand, it might become a power center”

The analysis of climate changes from the point of view of the effect on the tourist movement is an illustration of the environment-organism report.Based on the stress and on the capacity to react, an implicit conformation of the tourist to the environment factors takes place. Climate change and its possible consequences for winter holiday destinations constitute a new and complex challenge for tourism research. The actual effects of climate change influence entrepreneurial decisions and the development of a region. This paper tries to investigate how sensitive are the Sibiu mountain area to climate change. The researches are quite difficult because of the reduced number and unevenness of weather stations in the Carpathians, and because the activity of the mountain weather stations is relatively recent (usually 40-50 years). The South-Eastern Carpathians are sensitive to climate change. The years 1994, 2000, 2002, and 2003 were the warmest on record in the South-Eastern Carpathians in the last 50 years. Climate model projections show even greater changes in the coming decades, with less snow at low altitudes. Together with the relief, the climate is the determining factor that contributed to the development of mountain resorts, that initially focused on curing and relaxation, and later on relaxation and sport. The study of the meteorological parameters registered in Sibiu mountain area is a proof of the privileged habitat that the resort has, both from the point of view of the landscape, and from that of the climatic conditions.Climate Changes, Tourist Movement, Territory Vulnerability, Winter Tourism Activity

The bees were declared the most important living beings on the planet. They act as natural indicators of the state of the environment, protect and maintain ecosystems and contribute to genetic and biotic diversity. Due to its socio-economic and scientific role, beekeeping is an activity that contributes to the development of the rural area. In the analysis we have chosen Hunedoara County, considering its national position and prospects for the development of organic beekeeping. The elaboration of the PESTEL analysis ensures a long-term perspective of the apiculture strategy in Hunedoara County. In order to dispose of bee products (honey, organic honey, pollen, propolis, etc.) in optimal conditions to be marketed both through stores and online, we propose the creation of short chains between a specialized micro-enterprise, tourist pensions that provides food services, restaurants or bars that are located in areas with commercial ford and local beekeeping producers in HNV areas, of which at least one holds certification for organic honey. Beekeeping entrepreneurship can be developed through the actions of beekeepers in the field of promotion, by efficiently selecting possible distribution channels in the country and abroad

Tourism is called upon to play the role of facilitator of sustainable development, to lead collaboration with interest groups and local communities to decide jointly on the development of destinations. After the last difficult and challenging years, tourism has shown its resilience and ability to once again represent the percentage of GDP of many of the countries it owned before the pandemic. The WTO launched in 2021 the "Best Tourism Villages" initiative with the aim of transforming tourism into an engine for rural development and well-being and bringing about real change in local communities by creating jobs, supporting local businesses and preserving customs and traditions. The initiative recognizes villages that are an example of a rural tourist destination with cultural and natural assets, that preserve and promote the values, products and lifestyles of communities, and that have a clear commitment to innovation and sustainability. Romania is very well positioned at international level, from the point of view of rural tourism. Six localities have entered the competition "Best Tourism Villages" (2022), dedicated to the recognition of villages that are remarkable examples of rural tourist destinations. These are Biertan, Răşinari and Râu Sadului (Sibiu County), Ciocăneşti (Suceava), Costeşti (Vâlcea), Eibenthal (Mehedinţi). In the work we analysed the criteria that formed the basis for the selection of the three villages in Sibiu County, namely: the cultural and natural resources in the destination, the promotion and conservation of cultural resources, the economic, social and environmental sustainability, the governance and prioritization of tourism, infrastructure and connectivity, health, safety and security, as well as the photos and presentation videos. Răşinari village is the big winner of Romania's second edition of the world competition Best Tourism Villages, being selected by the specialists of the WTO, from over 130 applications, coming from 57 countries

In the medium and long term, priorities in the development of tourism aim to develop a complex tourist offer, making the most of the natural and anthropogenic resources existing in connection with the preservation of the environment and the heritage. On the long run, it will contribute to raising the living standards of the population, especially social categories with lower chances of reintegration into the labour market (people made redundant in industry, elderly people etc.). Implementation of the strategy at regional level must be achieved through an active partnership between Romanian public authorities, economic agents and private investors, with the involvement of the federation of employers in the sector and of the professional associations
