    Get PDF
Currently, most coupling details in the actuators are made by traditional methods such as bulk forming from block billet and then metal cutting. Such manufacturing methods often lead to material wastes due to cutting a large amount of excess processing. To save material and improve production efficiency, tube billet would be selected for bulk forming. However, when tube billet is used for bulk forming, it should be carefully calculated to avoid instability and folding defects in workpiece. This article presents the research on the forming process of the coupling details using numerical simulation and based on the obtained results, the suitable geometric size of tube billet for the forming operation in closed die can be determined

The paper reported on part of a study investigating Vietnamese upper secondary school EFL teachers’ use of the set of new English textbooks Tieng Anh 11 as resources for achievement tests. To carry out this research, both qualitative and quantitative approaches including questionnaires and interviews were used to collect the data from research participants at some upper secondary schools in Quang Tri Province, Vietnam. The findings of the study showed the teachers’ practices in using the set of new English textbooks Tieng Anh 11 for achievement tests. They reported adapting the exercises and activities, following the teaching procedures, and referring to the book maps in the set of new English textbooks Tieng Anh 11 to organize revision, design one-period tests and semester exams. Especially, using the accompanying workbooks to revise what students learned accounted for the highest rate. Besides, major challenges of the upper-secondary school teachers in using this set are also uncovered through the results. The teachers mostly have difficulties in finding the relevant materials matching the prescribed test formats as well as the required language competence in the set of new English textbooks Tieng Anh 11, lacking the test formats and scoring criteria associated with achievement tests. From the research findings, some implications were suggested for teachers’ flexibility in teaching and test preparation processes, and for improving the set of new English textbooks Tieng Anh 11. Context-driven Policies Enforcement for Edge-based IoT Data Sharing-as-a-Service

    Get PDF
Sharing real-time data originating from connected devices is crucial to real-world intelligent Internet of Things (IoT) applications, i.e., based on artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML). Such IoT data sharing involves multiple parties for different purposes and is usually based on data contracts that might depend on the dynamic change of IoT data variety and velocity. It is still an open challenge to support multiple parties (aka tenants) with these dynamic contracts based on the data value for their specific contextual purposes. This work addresses these challenges by introducing a novel dynamic context-based policy enforcement framework to support IoT data sharing (on-Edge) based on dynamic contracts. Our enforcement framework allows IoT Data Hub owners to define extensible rules and metrics to govern the tenants in accessing the shared data on the Edge based on policies defined with static and dynamic contexts. We have developed a proof-of-concept prototype for sharing sensitive data such as surveillance camera videos to illustrate our proposed framework. The experimental results demonstrated that our framework could soundly and timely enforce context-based policies at runtime with moderate overhead. Moreover, the context and policy changes are correctly reflected in the system in nearly real-time.acceptedVersio

This study has an effort to explore the dynamic relationship among income, exchange rate, foreign direct investment, effective supply chain practices and export performance. Based on quarterly data from Q2/2009 to Q4/2019, constituting 43 observations. To attain dynamic and unvarying relationship among these variables, applying Vector Autoregressive Model, results indicate that, in short run, each variable is highly influenced by changes of value and past value of its and the other variables at different degree. In addition, there does not exist a long run association among exchange rate, income, foreign direct investment and export in Vietnam in the research period

    Get PDF
The quality of education may be raised in large part by investing in teacher training. It contributes to the expansion and updating of professional knowledge, teaching abilities, and new and improved methods of approaching students. Teachers can also continue to grow individually via the refresher process, reflect on their teaching methods, and adjust to shifts in the educational landscape and the needs of their students. The purpose of the project is to identify an experiential learning-based teacher training paradigm that is efficient and workable. A pedagogical experiment using this model was conducted with two classes and 35 high school teachers in Thai Nguyen Province, Vietnam. The findings of the research, which used the document research approach together with expert opinion, demonstrate that learning via experience in teacher training has accomplished the desired objective in 5 key stages: (1) (1) Choosing a few standard lessons to organize to teach illustrations; (2) preparing to organize the illustration teaching after the standard lesson has been chosen; (3) practicing demonstration teaching; (4) organizing the discussion after attending the demonstration lesson; and (5) making personal plans to organize the lesson in accordance with the training's content.  Article visualizations

TDMA-based scheduling for multi-hop wireless sensor networks with 3-egress gateway linear topology

    Get PDF
We have studied packet transmission scheduling on multi-hop wireless sensor networks with 3-egress gateway linear topology, called Y-shaped topology. In every one cycle period, each node generates and forwards data packets that are bounded for either of the gateways at edges. In this paper, we focus on centrally-managed Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA)-based slot allocations and design a packet transmission scheduling framework combining with the basic redundant transmission to reduce and recover packet losses. On each of three types of path models to cover all possible routing on Y-shaped topology, we efficiently derive a global static time-slot allocation. The derived time-slot allocation exactly maximizes the probability that all packets are successfully delivered to one of the gateways within one cycle period, which cannot be achieved by existing scheduling schemes
