    Bismuth ferrite (BiFeO3) powders were synthesized by hydrothermal method using Bi(NO3)3 and Fe(NO3)3, acetic acid and KOH as starting materials. The effects of reaction time, hydrothermal temperature and molar ratio of acetic acid/metal on the formation of BiFeO3 were investigated. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) were used to characterize synthesized oxide powders. The results showed that single-phase BiFeO3 with the average grain size 100 nm was obtained at hydrothermal temperature as low as 180 oC for 12 hours

    The preparation of CeO2-Fe2O3 mixed oxides by combustion method using cerium(IV) nitrate, iron(III) nitrate and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) was described in this paper. Effects of preparative parameters namely, calcination temperature, Ce/Fe molar ratio on the phase formation of CeO2–Fe2O3 mixed oxides were investigated. The prepared CeO2–Fe2O3 mixed oxides powders were characterized by X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and specific surface area analysis from N2 adsorption data at 77 K by Brunaure-Emmet-Teller (BET) method. Samples synthesized under optimal conditions has an average crystalline size 50 nm with large specific area of 68.9 m2/g. Keywords.     The nanostructure mixed oxides powder CeO2–Al2O3 has been synthesized by the combustion of gel from Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) as polymer basic and mixture metal nitrate. The optimum conditions of synthesis method: (Ce4++Al3+)/PVA molar ratio = 1/3, Ce4+/Al3+ molar ratio = 1/1, pH = 4, gel formation temperature at 80oC. The phosphate ion sorption of nanostructured CeO2-Al2O3 mixed oxides was presented in this paper. The results showed that the optimized conditions for obtaining the maximum adsorption capacity are: pH ~ 7-9, adsorption equilibrium time of 1h, CeO2/Al2O3 molar ratio of 1/1, calcination temperature of 500 °C, the maximum adsorption capacity, Qmax of 125.42 mg/g with regression coefficient of 0.997 were found.     Four ent-kaurane diterpenoids, annoglabasin E (1), annonaglabasin B (2), 19-nor-ent-kauran-4α-ol-17-oic acid (3), and paniculoside IV (4) were isolated from the methanol extract of the Annona glabra fruits by various chromatographic experiments. Their structures were characterized by 1D- and 2D-NMR spectra and ESI-MS, as well as in comparison with those reported in the literature.
