During the period 1983 – 1999, at INCDBH Stefanesti, the elite Mt. d´Adda 22 St. was selected and grown in contestplantations in order to be destined to the fresh grapevine consumption The identification of the biotypes(clones)having superior quality and production characteristics which manifest constantly, has been achieved through the studyof the elites chosen in comparative fields, using the method of repeated determinations in groups of years, underspecific vineyard conditions. Through repeated verification of the elites in the contest plots the elite Mt. d´Adda 22 St.stood out by superior quality, constant and sustained production of grapevines and the maintenance of the qualitycharacters. The elite was omologated in 2009. There had been identified and studied the clone elites which maintainedtheir productivity and quality characteristics during 2-3 years, which subsequently had been put to vegetativepropagation with a view to obtain the initial grafting material according to the intensive amelioration schemes

Extension grape-vine culture, namely the introduction of a certain area of new varieties requires environmentalassessment of suitability of the space allocated for this purpose.Such factors may reveal optimal and restrictive, you can print a specific direction for the center of wine production canbe investigated or choose those varieties which are best adapted to existing environmental conditions.Improving the national range of varieties of table grapes, varieties created by the introduction in recent decades hasenabled the completion and diversification, for each area of favorability and even tolerated areas. Thus, the polygonExperimental Station vineyard in Teaching, University of Craiova, framed in terms of administrative center of thevineyard Banu Maracine was created an experimental device. For this purpose the Banu Maracine EDS study was initiated and technological agrobiological two new varietiesrecently introduced collection ampelography: Argessis siAuriu of Stefănesti. The study seeks to answer how theenvironmental adaptation of Argessis variety, variety created in the Arges Stefănesti for conditions in Olteniaecoclimatice wine during 2007-2009, compared with the variety Victoria

The distinct trait comprised in the nowadays and future programes concerning the genetic improving the grapes with the view to getting more productive and qualitative varieties, ith higher resistance to the main diseases and pests. They also take into consideration the genetic changed varieties, having qualities able to respond to the more efficient intervention of mechanization or to the new and simple culture technologies. Because the Romanian viticulture comprises just a few varieties destinated to the raisins production, it is desirable to extend in culture new varieties of this group, where from, as many clones as possible will be then selected. In the experimental fields from INCDBH Ştefăneşti there was conducted a comparative three years study on the main seedless varieties. The attention of reserchers was especially got by the Canner variety, a seedless one with medium ripeness. In order to make a presentation of the main qualities of this variety, it was compared to the Perlette one, which is more extended in the Romanian vineyards. The study was conducted on a period of three years and consisted in ampelographical, agrobiological and technological determination of this variety compared to Perlette

To improve the sortment of vatietis for table grapes at Stefănesti´s vineyard the the behaviour of four varieties:Augusta, Victoria, Argessis and Transilvania was observed for a perioad of 3 years. The table varieties have presentedsome superior characters of adaptation to the Stefănesti´s vineyard condition, this is why this this varieties was thesubject of a detailed study. The authors recommend these varieties to be checked in the production plantations. Duringthe period 2007-2009 were carried out research on a number of four native varieties for table grapes ripening withplanting different varieties with valuable traits that can complete the requirements agrobiological market from July toSeptember. Varieties are in a collection bearing the INCDBH Stefănesti ampelography. In the study observations were made and determinations of frost resistance of varieties of winter, vine vigor, carryingthe main phenophase, duration of vegetation period were calculated and relative percentages of fertility, indices ofproductivity, quality and quantity grape production
