THE DIVERSITY OF BIRDS AND ATTRACTIVE BIRDS AS AVITOURISM OBJECTS IN GUNUNG BROMO UNIVERSITY FOREST, KARANGANYAR, CENTRAL JAVA
The Gunung Bromo University Forest is a former tourism area which must be revitalized, one of them is to be an avitourism object. However, the information of birds diversity is still lacking. The research aimed to determine bird diversity and attractive birds as avitourism object in Gunung Bromo University Forest. The bird observation was con-ducted using the encounter rates method in six line transects. The quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis was used to describe bird diversity and attractive birds as avitourism objects. The research resulted 44 species of birds belong to 26 families were found in the area. The diversity of birds belongs to moderate category with Shannon-Wiener Index of 2.75. The relative abundance of birds were categorized into one species of abundant, seven species of common, eight species of frequent, and 28 species of uncommon. Attractive birds in Gunung Bromo University Forest as avitourism object were three species of raptor, six species of endemic birds, five species of high conservation value birds, and other attractive birds such as colorful birds and songbirds. Peningkatan Produksi Madu Klanceng di Hutan Rakyat untuk Kesejahteraan Masyarakat dan Kelestarian Lingkungan di Kemalang, Klaten
Tlogowatu Village, Kemalang District, Klaten Regency, is located on the slopes of Merapi Mountain. Currently, sand and stone mining from Merapi Mountain is the primary commodity produced by Tlogowatu Village. If this condition continues, it will cause the damage to the environment. Therefore, several community leaders have cultivated the stingless bee (Trigona laeviceps) as an economic source while adhering to ecological principles through stingless bee farming in community forests. However, community forest and stingless beekeeping need to be appropriately managed, especially in terms of management, production, and marketing aspects. Activities are carried out in several stages, namely starting with pre-activity surveys, counselling and practical development of management, production and marketing aspects, as well as monitoring and evaluation of activities. This activity has increased the knowledge of target partners regarding the livestock of Clanceng in community forests in the form of another type of Clanceng, namely T. biroi, various feed sources, techniques for breaking up split rapid colonies, and good honey packaging. Apart from that, through klanceng livestock in community forests, local communities also gain ecological benefits and build potential for developing agricultural education tourism (edu-agro-tourism) areas.Tlogowatu Village, Kemalang District, Klaten Regency is located on the slopes of Merapi Mountain. For example, in the production aspects, farmers obtain stingless bee colony traditionally by taking bee colony from nature and then moving them into a new hive. Thus, colonizing the colony from nature has a negative impact on the sustainability of stingless bees in the wild. In addition, farmers have not paid attention yet to the plant species composition in their community forests. Community forests need to be managed in terms of species composition so they can produce adequate feed for bees with vegetation that produces pollen, nectar, and resin (NPR). Through this service, counseling was given to farmers about community forest management, bee feed management, and the importance of farmer institutions. To increase production, a hive was designed by using the “Rapid Split Technique” that had been introduced for T. biroi. In addition, investment assistance was also provided for more efficient management of community forests and beekeeping as well as product packaging assistance and good packaging knowledge
KEANEKARAGAMAN JENIS IKAN DAN HABITATNYA DI PERAIRAN KAWASAN HUTAN DENGAN TUJUAN KHUSUS (KHDTK) GUNUNG BROMO, KARANGANYAR, JAWA TENGAH
Kawasan Hutan Dengan Tujuan Khusus (KHDTK) Gunung Bromo dalam pengelolaannya wajib melaksanakan perlindungan biodiversitas yang ada di dalamnya. Pada kawasan tersebut terdapat aliran sungai yang menjadi habitat berbagai jenis ikan. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan pendataan keanekaragaman ikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keanekaragaman ikan, nilai fisikokimiawi air, dan hubungan antara keduanya. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Oktober sampai November 2020 di Sungai KHDTK Gunung Bromo. Stasiun penelitian terdiri dari tiga stasiun (I, II, III) yang didasarkan perbedaan tipe habitat (vegetasi riparian dan substrat dasar sungai). Pengambilan sampel ikan menggunakan bubu, pancing, dan serok. Sampling ikan dilakukan dua hari per minggu di setiap stasiun, kemudian ikan diidentifikasi dan dicatat jenis serta jumlah. Karakteristik fisikokimiawi air berupa suhu, lebar, dan kedalaman sungai, kecepatan arus, pH, oksigen terlarut, serta total padatan terlarut diukur secara in situ setiap seminggu sekali. Data jenis ikan dianalisis menggunakan indeks keanekaragaman, kemerataan, dan dominansi. Hubungan keanekaragaman dan fisikokimia air dianalisis statistik menggunakan koefisien korelasi Pearson. Ikan yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak lima jenis dengan tingkat keanekaragaman berkisar antara 0,64 – 0,86 dengan nilai tertinggi di stasiun III dan terendah di stasiun I. Sungai KHDTK Gunung Bromo memiliki lebar 4,70 - 7,37 meter, kedalaman 0,42 - 1,15 meter kecepatan arus 0,08 - 0,21 m/s, suhu 27,62 - 31,09°C, oksigen terlarut 7,16 - 8,55 ppm, total padatan terlarut 825,80 - 995,4 mg/l, dan pH 7,18 - 7,34. Nilai-nilai tersebut masuk dalam kisaran optimum bagi ikan yang ditemukan. Analisis koefisien korelasi Pearson menunjukkan bahwa faktor abiotik tidak berkorelasi secara signifikan terhadap keanekaragaman ikan
Pembuatan Demplot Pertanaman Nilam (Pogostemen cablin Benth.) di Zona Tradisional Tahura K.G.P.A.A. Mangkunagoro I
Pelestarian kawasan hutan harus dilakukan secara berkesinambungan. Salah satunya, tercermin
dari kerjasama antara pihak pengelola kawasan hutan dengan masyarakat setempat. Kegiatan
yang dapat dilakukan antara lain yaitu melalui pemberdayaan masyarakat. Saat ini, di dalam
kawasan Tahura K.G.P.A.A. Mangkunagoro I terdapat sekitar 300 petani pengaram yang
memanfaatkan lahan di bawah tegakan. Namun demikian, diperlukan optimalisasi
pemanfaatan lahan dibawah tegakan agar lebih menguntungkan secara ekonomi dan ekologi.
Salah satunya yaitu melalui budidaya nilam. Kegiatan pengabdian ini, merupakan tindak lanjut
kegiatan pengabdian tahun 2020, bertujuan untuk membangun demplot pertanaman nilam di
zona tradisional Tahura K.G.P.A.A. Mangkunagoro I agar dapat menjadi contoh bagi
pengaram dalam budidaya nilam. Oleh karena itu, pada tahun 2021 dilakukan pembangunan
demplot dan dilakukan studi banding penyulingan minyak atsiri nilam. Pembuatan demplot
pertanaman nilam dimulai dengan persiapan lahan secara partisipatif dengan memperhatikan
tutupan tajuk dan jarak tanam. Penanaman dilakukan dengan bibit nilam Sidikalang dan
Lhokseumawe dengan teknik penanaman yang baik serta memanfaatkan pupuk kandang lokal.

[Keanekaragaman Herpetofauna Pada Kawasan Tahura Mangkunagoro I Karanganyar] : Review
Herpetofauna merupakan satwa melata yang bergerak dengan mengikutsertakan perut mereka. Reptilia dan Amfibi merupakan dua kelas dari herpetofauna. Satwa ini memiliki berbagai jenis habitat dan keberadaanya dapat menjadi bioindikator perubahan lingkungan. Kegiatan penangkapan berlebihan, rusaknya habitat, serangan penyakit, serta munculnya spesies invasif menjadi ancaman keberadaan herpetofauna di alam. Herpetofauna memiliki banyak manfaat sehingga perlu dilakukan inventarisasi terhadap satwa tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah inventarisasi dan identifikasi keanekaragaman herpetofauna di kawasan Tahura Mangkunagoro I pada bulan November hingga Desember 2021 dengan menggunakan metode VES dan Time Search. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keanekaragaman jenis (H’) tergolong sedang (H’= 1,342 -1,912), indeks kekayaan jenis (R) tergolong rendah (1,251 -2,299), indeks kemerataan jenis (E) tergolong stabil dan merata (0,797 -0,968), sedangkan indeks dominansi jenis (C) tergolong rendah (0,211 -0,273). Pengetahuan masyarakat tentang herpetofauna di sekitar Tahura terbilang masih kurang, namun kesadaran masyarakat tentang kelestarian herpetofauna tergolong tinggi

The existence of Avifauna in Tahura KGPAA Mangkunagoro's I good habitat conditions supports me. Geographically Tahura is located in Karanganyar, Central Java. This study aims to determine the existence of avifauna in the last 2 years in terms of diversity as supporting information in the development of ecotourism. This research was conducted in August 2023 by comparing data in 2021, using line transect and point count methods. The results showed that the species in Tahura Mangkunagoro I were in the LC (Least Concern) category. the species diversity index (H') was classified as medium (H'=2.744 - 3.106), the evenness index (E) was high (E = 0.842 - 0.888), and the species richness index (R) was high (R = 5.689 - 6.979). Avifauna in Tahura KGPAA Mangkunegoro I is thus important information in supporting the governance and management of the area, especially in the development of ecotourism.
