THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ANTHROPOMETRIC BODY DIMENSIONS AND THE MODEL FOR WEIGHT LIFTING TECHNIQUE
INTRODUCTION The basic problem in learning weight lifting techniques is to define the optimum track of the bar-bell. The parameters of the bar-bellis track can be thought of as a basic criterion of the level of the weight lifting technique of an individual. The course of the bar-bell track is very individual and dependent on many different factors. One of the most important factors is the anthropometric body dimensions of the athlete. By using a special device which is called pantograph the general parameters of the bar-bell track can be defined. At present time a special simulator is being constructed which enables us to simulate the individual track of the bar-bell according to input data of the individual. The system is controlled by computer. The main goal of this research is to find the relationship between the anthropometric body dimensions of the individuals and the basic parameters of the barbell track. We expect that the parameters of the individual will be the input data for the simulation of the optimum bar-bell track for the individual. METHODS The research has been provided by a group of 29 top weightlifting athletes. Eight anthropometric data (length parameters) and 7 derived anthropometric values from previous data were the input data for the statistical analysis. By using the device of our own construction (pantograph) the track of the bar-bell for each individual has been measured. The model of the individual track of the bar-bell was expressed by 8 different measured characteristics. The best competition attempts were selected for the research. The basis for the statistical evaluation of measured data was the method of correlation and multiple regression analysis. By using these statistical methods, the relationship was examined between anthropometric dimensions and the characteristics of the bar-bell track (8 variables). We expect, that the regression equations will enable us to find the individual parameters of the bar-bell track which will be the input data to the simulation of the individual model of the bar-bell track. RESULTS - The range of multiple correlation coefficients was 0.45 to 0.94. Based on the multiple regression analysis the matrix of the anthropometric data was reduced to 5 selected significant variables (2 lengths and 3 derived parameters). Derived equations of multiple regression analysis enable us to compute the key parameters which define the individual bar-bell track. The results of this research will be used for the solution of the problem of learning the optimal technique of weightlifting by using the simulator
On the exponential exponents of discrete linear systems
AbstractIn this paper we introduce the concepts of exponential exponents of discrete linear time varying systems. It is shown that these exponents describe the possible changes in the Lyapunov exponents under perturbation decreasing at infinity at exponential rate. Finally we present formulas for the exponential exponents in terms of the transition matrix of the system

Oxalates as Activating Groups for Alcohols in Visible Light Photoredox Catalysis: Formation of Quaternary Centers by Redox-Neutral Fragment Coupling.
Alkyl oxalates are new bench-stable alcohol-activating groups for radical generation under visible light photoredox conditions. Using these precursors, the first net redox-neutral coupling of tertiary and secondary alcohols with electron-deficient alkenes is achieved
Self-Awareness of Health Developing in Planning and Managing a Professional Career as an Important Area of Career Guidance
In this article I advance the thesis that the self-awareness of health development is becoming now an important area of career guidance. I demonstrate this assumption on the background of selected contemporary labor market conditions and health threats in the job environment. I present H. Skłodowski’s concept of education and therapeutic counseling meant to increase the awareness of one’s own health.3428329717Studia Edukacyjn

W artykule zaprezentowano fragmenty biografii edukacyjnych innowacyjnych menedżerów. Tę grupę zawodową charakteryzuje duża różnorodność doświadczeń edukacyjnych i zawodowych. This article presents the studies of educational biographies of the innovative managers. This professional group has a large variety of educational and professional experiences. Educational biographies of the innovative managers have revealed the most important turning points in their educational careers and allowed to select those educational factors, which significantly influenced the course of their innovative competences. I have analyzed both the impact of formal education and non-formal as well as informal. Qualitative researches have proved subjective, however, revealed the individual, unique aspects of education and career, representative for this different professional groups.Udostępnienie publikacji Wydawnictwa Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego finansowane w ramach projektu „Doskonałość naukowa kluczem do doskonałości kształcenia”. Mathematical Description of Air Cooling Using a Mining Diaphragm Cooler Taking Into Consideration the Condensation of Water Vapour
Taking into consideration the possibility of condensation of water vapour contained in air which flows through a diaphragm cooler, a mathematical model of space-time changes in air temperature, humidity, and also in the temperature of the heat exchanger and the cooling water in the cooler in question was created. In the mathematical description of air-cooling using the above-mentioned cooler two zones was identified. The first concerns the dry cooling of air, while within the second, the process of outdropping of water contained in the cooled air. Each of these zones has been described by applying a system of three partial linear differential equations; these derived from the enthalpic balance of cooled air, the heat exchanger, and cold water. Zones were chosen in the course of continuous observations aimed at establishing whether the cooled air had reached dew point. Since this necessitated a knowledge of the temporary local value of its cooled part, dependencies using average values were insufficient. The correctness of mathematical descriptions adopted was evaluated by comparing results of calculations ensuing from numerical solutions of systems of differential equations derived with those of measurements carried out in mining conditions on a chosen diaphragm cooler. The computer programme thus created makes it possible to:
• determine time variables across the entire spectrum of each cooling zone, and thereby the parameters of air leaving the cooler,
• establish the dynamics of changes in thermal power for diaphragm counter-current air coolers,
• choose optimal - as far as thermal power is concerned - auxiliary fans for forcing the air through the coolers, and to
• analyze existing and design new, more efficient coolers
THE BIOELECTRIC ACTIVITY OF MUSCLE PECTORALIS MAJOR IN PRESSING FROM A LYING POSITION
The bioelectric activity of muscle pectoralis major was recorded with the help of surface EMG. The aim of this work was to determine participation of three parts of this muscle in motor task realization i.e. the pressing of a barbell in a lying position. Despite a suitable competitors’ selection (the first class) and a similar way of task realization (the 'bridge' technique) some competitors indicated a large activity in central part of the muscle whereas the others in lower or upper part. Average bioelectric activity of three parts of muscle together, in all subjects, was larger in pressing phase than in lowering phase during the press in a lying position. It may mean, that the way of trial realization is also affected by other factors, i.e. the radius of “bridge” curvature or trajectory motion of barbell
