    Effects of Aggression on Psychological Adjustment of College Students in District Faisalabad

    Major objective of the current study was to find out the relationship between aggression and psychological adjustment among college students in district Faisalabad. Ten colleges (male=5 and female=5) were randomly selected from the population as sample. One thousand students (male=500 and female=500) were approached conveniently. Data were collected using two instruments: Adults Psychological Adjustment Survey (APAS) and Aggressive Behavior Scale (ABS). Descriptive statistics and pearson r were used to analyze the data. Findings indicated above average level of aggression and below average level of psychological adjustment among college students and a significantly positive relationship between aggression and psychological adjustment. As the level of aggression increases, it weakens the psychological adjustment. All the sub factors of aggression are significantly correlated with sub factors of psychological adjustment. It is recommended that during admission process, students’ aggression and psychological adjustment must be considered in addition to academic qualification

    AbstractThe study was aimed at comparing the performance of trained and untrained teachers in the subject of mathematics and to find out the factors affecting teachers’ performance. Sample of this study was comprised of the students of grade-4 and their teachers. 48 schools were selected conveniently. Achievement test for students and a questionnaire for teachers were designed. Data were analyzed by calculating mean score and independent sample t- test. Main findings were that trained male and female teachers are significantly better than untrained male and female teachers.     AbstractThe study reports findings drawn from an amended version of Wong & Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLIS), university students’ of Punjab. 600 students from three universities were selected as the sample for the study. Gender wise, the male students and qualification wise the B.Sc. degree holders were found significantly better than their counterparts. There were also some significant differences in terms of the university the students were studying in. The study concludes that the emotional intelligence is positively correlated with age, gender, qualification as well as the educational institution the student is enrolled in
