Gcopolymer concrete is an alternative environmentally friendly product to replace Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) concrete as main construction material around the world. '['his eco-friendly concrete material developed because of the needs to reduce the greenhouse gases emission, minimize waste and save the non-renewable resources as the effect of Ordinary Portland Cement production. This research was proposed to obtain the optimum mix proportion and curing method for geopolymer concrete with cast in-situ applications. Fly ash has been used as a source material for this research work while the alkaline solutions used in geopolymerisation is a combination of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and sodium silicate (Na2SiO3). Different curing regimes have been applied to cure the geopolymer concrete to find the best curing method. Sucrose was utilized in the mixture to produce workable geopolymer concrete which is not too stiff and easily hardened. The compressive strength test done on the geopolymer concrete sample showed that external exposure curing provided superior performance compared to other curing method. It was also supported by the observation at microstructure level through FESEM test

With development of technology now day, the valorisation of glycerol is one of the solutions to solve problem of excess amount of glycerol produced in biodiesel industry. In order to contribute to the development of glycerol research, aqueous phase reforming (APR) is used to valorise the glycerol. The main objectives of this project is to study the potential value added chemicals can be produce from aqueous phase reforming of glycerol using Ni/ɣ-Al2O3 catalyst promoted or bimetallic couple with Group II metals (Ca/Mg). For this study, thirteen catalysts will be synthesised using incipient wetness impregnation method (IWI). 10wt% of nickel loading was deposited on gamma alumina support. The effect of different metal loading of calcium and magnesium (0.5%, 3.0%, 5.0% and 7.0%) on the physiochemical properties of catalyst has been investigated. Then the synthesised catalysts will undergo several characterization techniques such XRD, BET analysis, SEM, FESEM and TPR to distinguish its characteristics. Result from XRD shows that the addition of calcium and magnesium increased the intensity of the catalyst. From BET analysis, it was found that the addition of metals like nickel, calcium and magnesium decreased the surface area, pore volume and size. From the images that have been captured from SEM and FESEM, the particles were visible well dispersed on the support. For TPR, the reduction temperature of 10% Ni is 660°C. The catalytic activity gamma alumina supported nickel; calcium and magnesium were evaluated in an autoclave reactor at 230°C, 10 bar 450 rpm. The results obtained from the reactor were good enough. The addition of 3% alkaline metals into the support seems to be optimum amount of metals in order to have good APR reaction. The value added chemicals that have been produced that useful to industry are 1, 3- propanediol, propionaldehyde, propylene glycol, propanol, ethanol and ethylene glycol

Pineapple crowns are an agricultural waste available in large quantity particularly from canned pineapple industry. Alternatives to its efficient utilisation are necessary as the crowns contain high enzyme activity which can be potentially used as a meat tenderiser. Thus, the aims of this study are to extract and purify bromelain from the pineapple crowns. The purified bromelain was freeze dried to produce bromelain powder which was later applied to tenderise the toughest Brahman part, round. The action of bromelain in tenderising beef was affected by different pHs of beef, immersion temperatures and times, and bromelain solution concentrations. Thus, response surface methodology (RSM) was used to determine the feasible optimum condition for the beef tenderisation by bromelain. The effect of bromelain treatment on the physico-chemical properties of beef and its nutritional quality was determined. The nutritional quality of beef was determined from the proximate extent between the bromelain-treated beef and the reference pattern protein and compared with the untreated beef. SDS-PAGE revealed that bromelain from pineapple crowns is a monomeric with a molecular weight of 30 kDa. The bromelain powder was less pure compared to that of standard bromelain powder

ABSTRACT : This thesis is titled “ Divorce was done by the Hakam in a Petaling Jaya Selangor Syariah Court, Malaysia” ( Analysis based on the opinion of the Imam Syafi‟i). The main problem in this study is, first is to knowing the execution by the Hakam. Second, factors that cause justice can divorce. Third, studied the Imam Syafi‟i view of the divorce in lower syariah court of Petaling Jaya Selangor. Researchers use empirical legal examining divorce-related arrangements that is conducted by hakam contained in section 48, Enactmen Islamic Family Law ( Selangor State) 2003. This research uses data collection techniques with library and field studies. The results showed that and several authorized employess. The results showed that the inauguration of hakam was made after the court agreed to the dispute ( shiqaq) that is always in effect in the period of marriage after the completion of peace affairs at the level of the Office of Peace ( Juru Damai) failed or did not find a way out. Therefore, hakam has the role of gaining authority in pronouncing divore rather than husband if the process of reconciliation fails and the husband is reluctant to recite the divorce. The factors which cause hakam to divorce are the first is, royal taqnin as stipulated by the statutory obligation for the people to obey it. Second, defending the fate of women hung without strings. Third, be a solution for the wife if the husband is reluctant to divorce even though it has caused harm. However, in the opinion of the Imam Syafi‟i here that does not require a wife to sue for divorce on the grounds of shiqaq. On the contrary, the judge who hears these demands should appoint hakam for the husband and hakam for the wife in order to reconcile the husband and wife. Hakam meant here is not authorised to drop divorce and is only authorised as a representative to reconcile husband and wife. Keyword : Divorce by Hakam, Petaling Jaya Selangor, Imam Syafi‟

The level of hibah contribution in Malaysia is still weak eventhough the Muslim society is generally aware of the benefits and importance of estate planning through hibah contributions in their lifetime. Although there are few past researches on hibah, most of these researches are not focused on the hibah giving behavior. Therefore, this study was conducted to identify the factors that influence hibah giving behaviors. Research framework established by decomposition approach and higher-order conceptualisation within the theory of planned behavior was the basic theory in the study. In accordance to the goals and objectives of the study, the study used a quantitative approach with questionnaire for the survey data. After acquiring the data, data analysis was conducted using PLS-SEM. Generally, the results were found to support the hypotheses. The findings lead to the implication that the policies and governance of hibah institutions should be streamlined. Hibah institutions need to improve their service quality to enhance the positive perception of the Muslim community on them. Moreover, these institutions must expand their promotion and increase hibah exposure to the Muslim community to build awareness on the importance and awareness of giving hibah during their lifetime. It is also hoped that the Muslim community will garner more interest in the implementation of hibah as one form of estate planning in Islam
