His poetry is an asset in the tradition of Urdu and Persian poetry. He gave the lesson of "self" to the people of the sub-continent, especially to the Muslims.     KitRobot: A multi-platform graphical programming IDE to program mini-robotic agents

    The analysis, design and development of a graphical programming IDE for mini-robotic agents allows novice users to program robotic agents by a graphical drag and drop interface, without knowing the syntax and semantics of the intermediate programming language. Our work started with the definition of the syntax and semantics of the intermediate programming language. The major work is the definition of grammar for this language. The use of a graphical drag and drop interface for programming mini-robots offers a user-friendly interface to novice users. The user can program graphically by drag and drop program parts without having expertise of the intermediate programming language. The IDE is highly flexible as it uses xml technology to store program objects (i.e. loops, conditions) and robot objects (i.e. sensors, actuators).     Requirements, Formal Verification and Model transformations of an Agent-based System: A CASE STUDY

    One of the most challenging tasks in software specifications engineering for a multi-agent system is to ensure correctness. As these systems have high concurrency, often have dynamic environments, the formal specification and verification of these systems along with step-wise refinement from abstract to concrete concepts play major role in system correctness. Our objectives are the formal specification, analysis with respect to functional as well as non-functional properties by step-wise refinement from abstract to concrete specifications and then formal verification of these specifications. A multi-agent system is concurrent system with processes working in parallel with synchronization between them. We have worked on Gaia multi-agent method along with finite state process based finite automata techniques and as a result we have defined the formal specifications of our system, checked the correctness and verified all possible flow of concurrent executions of these specifications. Our contribution consists in transforming requirement specifications based on organizational abstractions into executable formal verification specifications based on finite automata. We have considered a case study of our multi-agent system to exemplify formal specifications and verification.     Physiochemical Characterization and Dematerialization of Coal Class F Flyash Residues from Thermal Power Plant

    Class F flyash has a low percentage content of lime and is considered as a leading category of flyash generated in India with an average utilization of nearly 55% of flyash produced by the coal-burning power plant. The coal Class F flyash residue sample has been collected from Harduaganj, Thermal Power Station India. The paper illustrates the outcome of the study carried out to examine all the relevant features of the chemical and physical properties of Class F flyash sample. Elementary quantitative results from point analysis, SEM/EDS, FTIR, and pH analysis have been done in the chemical analysis of the study. The physical characterization of the sample is done by several experimental approaches to compare all the relevant features of Class F flyash sample and common soil. The main objective of this study is to evaluate whether the locally available Class F flyash from Harduaganj Thermal Power Station India, will provide satisfactory performance in fully or partially replacement of common soil. The performance evaluation of flyash and soil in different test results included bulk density, specific gravity, plasticity, maximum dry density, optimum moisture content, and permeability in accordance with the relevant IS or ASTM standards. Finally, the reported research recommended the selection of Class F flyash sample with low-lime content that provided the close correlation of its physical properties to the common soil

    Segmenting Roads from Aerial Images: A Deep Learning Approach Using Multi-Scale Analysis

    Road map generation requires frequent map updates due to the irregular infrastructural changes. Updating a manual road map is a lengthy process, whereas using aerial or remote sensing (RS) requires less time for the update. However, road extraction becomes more complex due to the similar texture appearance of building top roofs, shadows, and occlusion due to trees. The occluded roads appear as discontinuous road patch in segmented image of updated maps. In this paper, we propose a deep learning method that uses multi-scale analysis for road feature extraction. The dilated inception module (DI) in the up and down sampling paths of network extracts the local and global texture patterns of the road. Furthermore, we also utilize the pyramid pooling module (PP) which has average and max pooling to study the global contextual information under the shadow regions. In the proposed architecture, first, the road in the aerial images is segmented along with the tiny non-road segments. Next, the post processing, which exploits the geometrical shape features, is utilized for filtering the tiny non-road noises. The performance of proposed network is validated on using the publicly available Massachusetts road data by comparing with the other models available in literature

    Flyash as a Resource Material in Construction Industry: A Clean Approach to Environment Management

    The maximum amount of electricity is produced by most of the thermal power plants by burning coal at their operating facilities. Due to this activity, various types of secondary materials are generated. Any material resulting from coal-combustion processes may be called as a coal-combustion product (CCP). Among different CCPs reported worldwide by coal-burning power plants, flyash is the most common one. As per the characterization report, flyash is considered as a powdery material being collected by dust collectors installed in the thermal power plants with the use of coal as fuel. There are different problems related to flyash like requirement of large area of land for disposal and toxicity caused by flyash which leach to groundwater. The study has established flyash as air and water pollution source. It is considered as waste that may act as a resource material in construction industry, thereby acting as a resource for waste and environment management.
