A funnel cloud was spotted earlier in Michigan. A witness saw a large black cone-shaped cloud travelling along the ground and towards their house. It struck the property and produced considerable damage

Arden

Somewhat unusual N-S storm track. Reports of people seeing an odd cloud or funnel clouds in the area at the time. Some properties along Big Clear Lake had significant damage due to fallen trees. As much as 2ft of hail on the ground (location?) after the storm. All indications point to an HP supercell tracked through the area. Witness described hearing a roar and seeing the tornado move away from him over Canal Lake

Witness was asleep at time, so no funnel seen

Ida

Part of the “Alma family of tornadoes” on May 31/85. Witnesses described seeing funnel clouds and black skies before taking shelter. A 75m wide swath of maple bush was flattened west of Ida. High-end F2 or some F3 damage occurred to buildings in the area. Spotty damage occurred along the easterly potion of the track

Sturgeon Lake

Funnel cloud was spotted near the SW corner of Sturgeon Lake and called in. Later, an investigation found there to be a selective damage path which made to confirmation of tornado complete
