Psychometric properties of Romanian version of The Santa Clara Strength of Religious Faith Questionnaire (SCSRFQ)

The objective of the present research is to adapt The Santa Clara Strength of Religious Faith Questionnaire (SCSRFQ) to the Romanian population. SCSRFQ is a self-assessment questionnaire with two versions, 10-items version (SCSRFQ), and a short version (SCSRFQ-SF) with 5-items used to assess strength of religious faith. A total of 201 participants, aged 18-77 years, completed a socio-demographic data sheet and the SCSRFQ. A high internal consistency was obtained for the scale of the instrument, with a Cronbach's alpha coefficients 0.95. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) were also evaluated. The results indicate that the Romanian version of The Santa Clara Strength of Religious Faith Questionnaire (SCSRFQ) has good psychometric properties, being a suitable instrument for the assessment strength of religious faith.</p

By the end of the 20th Century, after the dissolution of the former communist block and the end of the bipolar world, Russian Federation as the successor of the former Soviet Union had to face the new multi-polar world and its challenges. With a weakened economy and little international influence, Moscow had to elaborate and put in place a new foreign policy and foreign economy policy. In this context, the Euro-Asian continent and, especially, the Far Eastern region represented a strategic interest. The consolidation of economic and political relations with Japan and China as a regional partnership is not only a strategic question for Russia it represents the only viable solution for a long term regional stability and security frame in the region

Examining the Relationship between Systemic Immune–Inflammation Index and Disease Severity in Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis

Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA), the leading childhood rheumatic condition, has a chronic course in which persistent disease activity leads to long-term consequences. In the era of biologic therapy and tailored treatment, precise disease activity assessment and aggressive intervention for high disease activity are crucial for improved outcomes. As inflammation is a fundamental aspect of JIA, evaluating it reflects disease severity. Recently, there has been growing interest in investigating cellular immune inflammation indices such as the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and systemic immune inflammation index (SII) as measures of disease severity. The aim of this retrospective study was to explore the potential of the SII in reflecting both inflammation and disease severity in children with JIA. The study comprised 74 JIA patients and 50 healthy controls. The results reveal a notable increase in median SII values corresponding to disease severity, exhibiting strong correlations with traditional inflammatory markers, including CRP and ESR (ρ = 0.714, ρ = 0.661), as well as the JADAS10 score (ρ = 0.690). Multiple regression analysis revealed the SII to be independently associated with JADAS10. Furthermore, the SII accurately distinguished patients with high disease activity from other severity groups (AUC = 0.827, sensitivity 81.5%, specificity 66%). These findings suggest that integrating the SII as an additional measure holds potential for assessing disease activity in JIA
