    Influence of film thickness on the dielectric characteristics of hafnium oxide layers

    The present work focuses on the study of properties of hafnium oxide (HfO2) films, deposited by reactive magnetron sputtering of the Hf target in Ar/O2 gas mixture. The X-ray diffraction analysis of the deposited films proved the amorphous structure of the films, which was also confirmed by the Raman spectroscopy. It was determined that as the HfO2 film thickness had been decreased from 98.6 nm to 13.5 nm, film density had dropped from 9.52 to 9.26 g/cm2. At the same time, the dielectric constant dropped from 21.3 to 8.0 units, and the dielectric loss tangent rose, especially at high frequencies. At the same time, the decrease in film thickness resulted in increased leakage currents at low electric field density E, and decreased leakage currents at high E. Improvement of dielectric characteristics and increase in leakage current with film thickness growth is a consequence of film densification and the formation of a crystalline phase. Thickness dependence of the dielectric constant is associated with the violation of the ionic polarization mechanism at the film electrode interface

    Antimicrobial Activity of Ethanolic Extract of Sempur (Dillenia Suffruticosa (Griff.) Martelli) Leaves Against Pathogenic Microorganisms

    Sempur (Dillenia suffruticosa) leaves are known as a traditional medicine for the people of Bangka-Belitung Island. The local people empirically utilize the boiled water of D. suffruticosa leaves as anti-diarrhea. However, the antimicrobial activity of the ethanol extract of D. suffruticosa leaves has not been reported. This study aims to determine the antimicrobial activity of the ethanol extract of D. suffruticosa leaves against several microorganisms: Staphylococcus aureus as Gram-positive bacteria, Escherichia coli as Gram-negative bacteria, and Candida albicans as fungi. Extraction was carried out by maceration method with 70% ethanol, then screened for phytochemical constituents. The antimicrobial test was carried out by the disc diffusion method using Nutrient Agar (NA) for bacteria, and Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (SDA) for fungi. The results of phytochemical screening showed that the ethanol extract of D. suffruticosa leaves contained alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, and saponins. The antimicrobial test showed that the extract of D. suffruticosa leaves could inhibit the growth of S. aureus at concentrations of 10%, 20%, and 40% were 8.35±0.05; 9.34±0.32; and 10.52±0.22, respectively. The ethanol extract of D. suffruticosa leaves could inhibit the growth of S. aureus, whereas E. coli and C. albicans did not show any activity

    The article presents modern approaches to the use of balanced formulas for nutrition and diet correction in children with various forms of food allergies. The guidelines are based on all available up to date evidence on the efficacy, safety and utility of using such innovative medical technology as specialized amino acid formulas. This formula is the targeted medical intervention for food allergies and confirmed cow's milk protein allergy, and particularly for patients with reduced physical growth and development (growth rates included). The material is based on methodological guidelines on the amino acid formulas usage previously developed by specialist experts of the Union of pediatricians of Russia in 2020
