Structure of 5-nitro-2-tosylaminobenzaldehyde di(morpholin-4-yl)aminal Complex with Carbon Tetrachloride

The 5-nitro-2-tosylaminobenzaldehyde di(morpholin-4-yl)aminal forms a stable complex with carbon tetrachloride in the crystal phase. X-ray structural study of this complex indicates an essentially shortened intermolecular contact of 2.89 Å between the oxygen atom of the nitro group and one of the chlorine atom of the CCI4 molecule. Quantum-chemical calculations by semiempirical AMI method showed that the formation of such complex did not cause considerable decrease of system energy or change of charge distribution in molecules. It was supposed that this associate has van der Waals character

The behavior limestone under explosive load

    Get PDF
Limestone behavior under explosive loading was investigated. The behavior of the limestone by the action of the three types of explosives, including granular, ammonite and emulsion explosives was studied in detail. The shape and diameter of the explosion craters were obtained. The observed fragments after the blast have been classified as large, medium and small fragments. Three full-scale experiments were carried out. The research results can be used as a qualitative test for the approbation of numerical methods

Investigation of Changing Volt-Ampere Characteristics of AlGaInP Heterostructures with Multiple Quantum Wells under Ionizing Radiation

The results of research into degradation of volt-ampere characteristics of light emitting diodes produced on the base of AlGaInP heterostructures with multiple quantum wells are presented on the example of light emitting diodes (emission wavelengths 623 nm and 590 nm) under gamma quantum and fast neutron radiation in passive powering mode. The shifts of volt-ampere characteristics into the higher voltage range have been observed in conditions of increasing neutron fluence and radiation dose. The observed increase in the resistance of ohmic contacts is caused by the rising resistance of adjacent area, which in its turn results from the changing mobility of charge carriers. The latter varies with the growth of introduced defects under irradiation. Two different areas of current generation have been identified. A mechanism of current generation depends on injected charge carriers in the range of mid-level electron injection. Moreover, the range of high electron injection is distinguished by changing resistance of light emitting diode cores alongside with current generation conditioned by charge carrier injection

Global Spiral Modes in NGC 1566: Observations and Theory

We present an observational and theoretical study of the spiral structure in galaxy NGC 1566. A digitized image of NGC 1566 in I-band was used for measurements of the radial dependence of amplitude variations in the spiral arms. We use the known velocity dispersion in the disk of NGC 1566, together with its rotation curve, to construct linear and 2D nonlinear simulations which are then compared with observations. A two-armed spiral is the most unstable linear global mode in the disk of NGC 1566. The nonlinear simulations are in agreement with the results of the linear modal analysis, and the theoretical surface amplitude and the velocity residual variations across the spiral arms are in qualitative agreement with the observations. The spiral arms found in the linear and nonlinear simulations are considerably shorter than those observed in the disk of NGC 1566. We argue therefore, that the surface density distribution in the disk of the galaxy NGC 1566 was different in the past, when spiral structure in NGC 1566 was linearly growing.Comment: 41 pages, 20 figures, to be published in the Astrophysical Journa

Russian industry in the context of digital transformation

    Get PDF
The directions of industrial policy in the Russian Federation in the context of digital transformation were considered in the article. The problems of Russian industry and the reasons for their occurrence were analysed. The preference for the so-called “horizontal” model based not on tough measures to support industries and companies, but on the creation of a comfortable environment for the functioning of all participants in the industrial market was emphasised. The requirement for the new development strategy formation in the industry and innovative business models implementation of this strategy has been justified. The basis of these models should be a technology platform based on continuous innovations performed by all participants in the network. A promising cooperation form between these participants is industry clustering. The positive experience of the innovative industrial clusters formation has been presented, especially successful in conjunction with modern information and communication technologies. Effective ways of forming and developing these clusters have been shown, especially promising with the small and medium businesses inclusion in technological industrial chains

Electromagnetic dissociation of relativistic 8^8B nuclei in nuclear track emulsion

Experimental data on fragmentation channels in peripheral interactions of 8^8B nuclei in nuclear track emulsions are presented. A detailed analysis made it possible to justify selections of events of the electromagnetic-dissociation process 8^8B 7\to^7Be + \emph{p} and to estimate its cross section. Events of 10^{10}C peripheral dissociation that were observed in the same exposure are described.Comment: 12 pages, 10 figures, 4 tables, Published in Phys.Atom.Nucl.72:690-701,200
