Nonlinear Maxwell Equations
A new relativistic invariant version of nonlinear Maxwell equations is
offerred. Some properties of these equations are considered.Comment: 6 pages, LaTe
A Phenomenological Analysis of Non-resonant Charm Meson Decays
We analyse the consequences of the usual assumption of a constant function to
fit non-resonant decays from experimental Dalitz plot describing charmed meson
decays. We first show, using the decay channel as
an example, how an inadequate extraction of the non-resonant contribution could
yield incorrect measurements for the resonant channels. We analyse how the
correct study of this decay will provide a test for the validity of
factorization in D meson decays. Finally, we show how form factors could be
extracted from non-resonant decays. We particularly discuss about the form
factor that can be measured from the decay. We
emphasize on its relevance for the study of the decay and the extraction of the meson width.Comment: 14 pages, Latex including 6 eps figure
Dilepton-tagged jets in relativistic nucleus-nucleus collisions: A case study
We study the A+B -> l+ l- + jet +X process in nucleus-nucleus collisions at
relativistic energies. The dilepton as well as the jet will pass through the
matter produced in such collisions. The recoiling dilepton will carry
information about the kinematical features of the jet, and will thus prove to
be a very effective tool in isolating in-medium effects such as energy-loss and
fragmentation function modifications. We estimate the contributions due to
correlated charm and bottom decay and we identify a window where they are small
as compared to pairs from the NLO Drell-Yan process.Comment: 7 pages, 9 figures Two figures modified, references adde
Quaternion-Octonion Analyticity for Abelian and Non-Abelian Gauge Theories of Dyons
Einstein- Schroedinger (ES) non-symmetric theory has been extended to
accommodate the Abelian and non-Abelian gauge theories of dyons in terms of the
quaternion-octonion metric realization. Corresponding covariant derivatives for
complex, quaternion and octonion spaces in internal gauge groups are shown to
describe the consistent field equations and generalized Dirac equation of
dyons. It is also shown that quaternion and octonion representations extend the
so-called unified theory of gravitation and electromagnetism to the Yang-Mill's
fields leading to two SU(2) gauge theories of internal spaces due to the
presence of electric and magnetic charges on dyons
