Kalabegishvili T. et al. E14-2012-31 Synthesis of Gold Nanoparticles by Blue-Green Algae Spirulina platensis The synthesis of gold nanoparticles by one of the many popular microorganisms ร… blue-green algae Spirulina platensis was studied. The complex of optical and analytical methods was applied for investigation of experimental samples after exposure to chloroaurate (HAuCl4) solution at different doses and for different time intervals. To characterize formed gold nanoparticles UV-vis, TEM, SEM, EDAX, and XRD were used. It was shown that after 1.5ร„2 days of exposure the extracellular formation of nanoparticles of spherical form and the distribution peak within the interval of 20ร„30 nm took place. To determine gold concentrations in the Spirulina platensis biomass, neutron activation analysis (NAA) and atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) were applied. The results obtained evidence that the concentration of gold accumulated by Spirulina biomass is rapidly growing in the beginning, followed by some increase for the next few days. The obtained substance of Spirulina biomass with gold nanoparticles may be used for medical, pharmaceutical, and technological purposes. The investigation has been performed a

SUBCELLULAR, MOLECULAR AND SUBMOLECULAR MECHANISMS OF ALTERED CONTRACTILITY AND EFFICIENCY OF ENERGY TRANSFORMATION BY MYOCARDIAL MYOFIBRILS IN CHRONIC HEART FAILURE AND MODE OF ACTION OF CARDIAC GLYCOSIDES

The work has been carried out on myocardial bioptates, autopsy and experimental material. In chronic heart failure (CHF) it has been established the sharp decrease of ability of force generation, ATP hydrolysis and economy of energy transduction in myocardial contractile protein (MCPS) at the time of development of energy deficit state and disturbances in Ca-transport system are the key mechanism of CHF development and progression. In contradiction to early and acute HF in CHF myosin-based (as a result of damage of hydrolytic center of myosin head) decrease of intensity of ATP hydrolysis is deposited on the actin-based decrease of value and velocity of generated force and economy of energy transduction in MCPS. The described phenomena in CHF are conditioned on the molecular level by the changes of the structural-conformational state of monomer and protomer of actin and its interaction with myosin heads of thick filament in force generation process. This conclusion has been confirmed in experiments in which are studied the properties of hybrid fibers, reconstructed from failing heart thin filament and normal myosin and vice versa. The actomyosin hypothesis of the mechanism of force generation and energy transduction disturbances in CHF has been suggested. It has been shown that at the submolecular level in actin the distances between Lys61, Tyr69 in subdomain 2 and Cys374 and Cys10 are increased, the conformation mobility of these aminoacidic acids is decreased and microenviroment is changed. These leads to the loosening of outside doman of actin. According to these data together with the data of atomic structure of skeletal muscle actin and 3D reconstruction pattern of cardiac actin from normal and failing heart a hypothetic models for such actins have been reconstructed. The appointed faults have posttranslational character and under the creation of optimal conditions in vitro under the influence of cardiac glycosides (ฮฒ-acetyldigoxine, ฮฒ-methyldigoxine and strophantine K) are able to revert, though they are firm

Analysis of outcomes in 211 patients with acute cerebral stroke hospitalized in the neuro rehabilitation in Filatov Municipal Clinicalย Hospital No. 15 of Mos cow in 2012-2013 who received artificial lung ventilation (ALV) due to respiratory disturbances was performed.ย Laboratory criteria and terms of patient transfer to ALV at acute stroke were detected. It was established that a riterion ofย patients transfer to AL V is not only manifestation of respiratory insufficiency clinical pattern but indicators of acid-base blood state.ย Objective clinical and laboratory criteria allowing timely transfer to ALV and forec ast of the unfavourable outcome are set out

The study of the main quality indicators of fruits and seeds was carried out: in the settlements of the Botanical Garden, Mtsvane Kontskhi, the villages of Benze and Ortabatumi in order to determine their medical and biological significance. According to experimental data, it was established that the best content extractive substances, total sugars, tannins, vitamin C, fatty oils, crude protein and pectin were samples taken on the territory of the botanical garden. Among the macroelements, K and Ca predominate. In the fruits and seeds of the Raisin tree, microelements are arranged in descending order: Fe > Cu > Mn > B > Ni, Zn. On the basis of research, it is possible to recommend the use water extract of fruits and powder obtained from the seeds of Hovenia dulcis Thunb., in the form of various tinctures with antioxidant, antimicrobial, stimulating and other pharmacological properties
