RUSSIAN PIANO CULTURE OF THE 20<SUP>TH</SUP> CENTURY IN THE CONTEXT OF MUSIC EDUCATION PROBLEMS

This article covers some problems of the Russian piano education of the 20th century relating to its two spheres closely interrelated - professional and amateur. Considering their existence in different periods of the Russian 20th century history, the author focuses on the fact that the piano has played an important role in society spiritual life throughout the previous century. Piano culture intensive development during the socialist period, caused by its continuity with the traditions of the Russian piano school, is reflected in the creation of the Soviet musical education. Despite its obvious success, in the modern period the problem of using specialized techniques in the field of developing piano pedagogy becomes actual. It is explained by the need for the formation of a broad stratum of educated music lovers, as well as by the gradual acoustic instrument displacement from the sphere of mass musical education and replacing it with electronic analogues. The article stresses the importance of preserving national traditions in the two spheres of piano culture, as well as their development in the framework of the new concept of «human technology»
