Pelayanan Sosial Lanjut Usia (Studi Kasus pada Enam Orang Warga Binaan Sosial di Upt Pelayanan Sosial Tuna Rungu Wicara dan Lanjut Usia Pematang Siantar)

Over time, many changing situations. Similarly, the life expectancy is increasing. Increasing elderly population is not only a phenomenon in Indonesia but also has globally.In 2000 the elderly population worldwide is estimated as many as 426 million or approximately 6.8%. This amount will increase by almost double by 2025, ie to about 828 million people, or about 9.7% of the total world population. In Indonesia in 2000 estimated 7.4% of Indonesia's population, or about 15.3 million people will be aged over 60 years. Central Statistics Agency (BPS, 2004) concluded that the 21st century is a century older Indonesia (era of population aging), due to the growth of the elderly population in Indonesia is expected to be faster than the other countries. Changes in the composition of the elderly population raises new needs that must be met are different from the needs of other age groups, so it can also be a complex issue for the elderly, both as individuals, families and communities. This study aims to look at how the social services provided UPT Pelayanan Sosial Tuna Rungu Wicara dan Lanjut Usia Pematang Siantar against social inmates elderly. This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach that aims to provide a picture of how the social services provided to the elderly social prisoners. The unit of analysis in this study were six peoples socially elderly inmates in UPT Pelayanan Sosial Tuna Rungu Wicara dan Lanjut Usia Pematang Siantar. The data collection technique used is the study of literature, direct observation and interviews. The Results of data analysis showed that the elderly social services provided UPT Pelayanan Sosial Tuna Rungu Wicara dan Lanjut Usia Pematang Siantar performing well, looks with satisfaction of service perceived by six peoples socially elderly inmates although there are still some things that need to be addressed in order to improve quality of service

Analyze Critical Thinking Skills and Scientific Attitude in Physics Learning Used Inquiry Training and Direct Instruction Learning Model

This study was aimed to determine the differences: (1) the difference of critical thinking skills of students' that using Inquiry Training and Direct Instruction. (2) The difference of critical thinking skills among students who at high scientific attitude and students who at low scientific attitude. (3) To see if there is interaction between inquiry learning model of the scientific attitude students' to increase the ability to critical thinking. This is a quasi experimental research. Which students of private junior high school Two Raya Kahean District Simalungun. Population choose random sample of each class. Instrument used consisted of: (1) test the scientific attitude of students through a questionnaire with 25 statements questionnaire number (2) test the critical thinking skills in the form of descriptions by 9 questions. The data were analyzed according to ANAVA. It showed that: (1) There are differences in students' critical thinking of skills achievement Inquiry Training model and Direct Instruction model, (2) there was a difference of students' critical thinking in scientific attitude at high is better than who thought there is a difference of students' critical thinking in scientific attitude at low. (3) There was no interaction between Inquiry Training model and Direct Instruction with the scientific attitude students' to increase student's critical thinking of skills

Farmer’s Participation to Increase the Dynamics of Lowland Rice Farmer Group in Maluku Province, Indonesia

This research aims to analyze farmer participation in improving the dynamics of farmer groups, especially lowland rice farmer groups in Maluku.   This is considered important because there are still many farmer groups in Maluku that are not dynamic or tend to stagnate, for that it difficult to develop farmers. Waimital Village was chosen because it is the main center for lowland rice production in Maluku and all farmers are members of farmer groups.   The research respondents were determined to be five people representing each group consisting of the group leader and four members.  Thus, the number of respondents was 95 farmers as member group representing 19 existing farmer groups. Primary and secondary data were collected to form the basis of qualitative descriptive analysis.   The research results showed that the dynamics of farmer groups in Waimital Village were in the good category dominantly. Based on the elements of group dynamics, it can be seen that the elements of group goals were in the very good category; elements of group structure, task function, group development and maintenance, group cohesiveness and group atmosphere were in the good category;   and the elements of group pressure and group effectiveness were still in the medium category.   Farmers assess that farmer groups have functioned good, it was proven that 81.7% of farmers feel that farmer group has functioned well as a vehicle for learning and 90.2% feel that farmer group was a good vehicle for cooperation.Farmer participation was in the medium to high category, which means it can still be increase. To increase the participation of group members, support for facilities and infrastructures is needed from all relevant agencies and assistance for farmer groups in implementing group plans.   Increasing the participation of group members will increase the dynamics of farmer groups which will then increase the productivity of farmer groups

Analisis Kendala Dalam Implementasi Kebijakan Program Kartu Tani di Desa Passo Kecamatan Teluk Ambon Baguala Kota Ambon

The purpose of this study is to find out the obstacles in the implementation of the farmer card program policy, and to find solutions to the obstacles in the implementation of the farmer card program policy. The research was conducted in Paso Village, Teluk Ambon Baguala District, Ambon City. The population of this study is farmers who are members of farmer groups. The data analysis method used is descriptive kualitative using simple tabulation analysis. The results showed that farmers generally do not use farmer cards to transact at retailer kiosks. The obstacle to the realization of the Ambon City farmer card program is the absence of synchronization between stakeholders, namely from farmers, retailers, distributors, producers, provincial and city technical offices, and banks so that the farmer card program entered in Ambon City from 2017 until now has not been realized
