    Hydrogen blending effect on fiscal and metrological instrumentation: A review

    A green hydrogen (H2) economy requires a sustainable, efficient, safe, and widespread infrastructure for transporting and distributing H2 from production to consumption sites. Transporting a hydrogen/natural gas (H2NG) mixture, including pure H2, through the existing European natural gas (NG) infrastructure is considered a cost-effective solution, particularly in the transitional phase. Several reasons justify the H2NG blending option. The NG infrastructure can be efficiently repurposed to transport H2, by blending H2 with NG, to operate as H2 daily storage, matching production and demand and to enable large-scale seasonal H2 storage. Although many benefits exist, the potential of existing NG grids for transporting and distributing green H2 may face limitations due to technical, economic, or normative concerns. This paper focuses on the state of the art of the European NG transmission and distribution metrology normative framework and identifies the gaps to be filled in case of H2NG flowing into the existing grids.     Extending nuXmv with Timed Transition Systems and Timed Temporal Properties

    nuXmv is a well-known symbolic model checker, which implements various state-of-the-art algorithms for the analysis of finite- and infinite-state transition systems and temporal logics. In this paper, we present a new version that supports timed systems and logics over continuous super-dense semantics. The system specification was extended with clocks to constrain the timed evolution. The support for temporal properties has been expanded to include \textsc {MTL}_{0,\infty } formulas with parametric intervals. The analysis is performed via a reduction to verification problems in the discrete-time case. The internal representation of traces has been extended to go beyond the lasso-shaped form, to take into account the possible divergence of clocks. We evaluated the new features by comparing nuXmv with other verification tools for timed automata and \textsc {MTL}_{0,\infty }, considering different benchmarks from the literature. The results show that nuXmv is competitive with and in many cases performs better than state-of-the-art tools, especially on validity problems for \textsc {MTL}_{0,\infty }

    The proposed recommendation for measuring and reporting chloride in undiluted plasma or blood by ion-selective electrodes (ISEs) will provide results that are identical to chloride concentrations measured by coulometry for standardized normal plasma or blood samples. It is applicable to all current ISEs dedicated to chloride measurement in undiluted samples that meet the requirements. However, in samples with reduced water concentration, results by coulometry are lower than by ion-selective electrode due to volume displacement. The quantity measured by this standardized ISE procedure is called the ionized chloride concentration. It may be clinically more relevant than the chloride concentration as determined by coulometry, photometry or by ISE after dilution of the sample
