. Electroencephalogram (EEG) signals has been widely researched and developed in many fields of science. EEG signals could be classified into useful information for the application of Brain Computer Interface topic (BCI). In this research, we focus in a topic about driving a car using EEG signal. There are many approaches in EEG signal classification, but some approaches do not robust EEG signals that have many artifacts and have been recorded in real time. This research aims to classify EEG signals to obtain more optimal results, especially EEG signals with many artifacts and can be recorded in realtime. This research uses Emotiv EPOC device to record EEG signals in realtime. In this research, we propose the combination of Automatic Artifact Removal (AAR) and Support Vector Machine (SVM) which has 71% of accuracy that can be applied to drive a virtual car

. Face recognition is the identification process to recognize a person\u27s face. Many studies have been developing face recognition methods, one of which is the Two Dimensional Linear Discriminant Analysis (TDLDA) which has pretty good accuracy results with the method of classification Support Vector Machine (SVM). With more training data can add computational time. TDLDA using all the piksel image as input to be processed for feature extraction. Though not all the objects in the area of the face is a significant feature in face recognition. In this study, the proposed use of the T-shape with only use a significant part is the eyes, nose, and mouth are integrated with TDLDA and SVM. The result could reduce computing time on face recognition 21.56% faster than TDLDA method. The accuracy of the results in this study was 91% -96% which is close to the level of accuracy without using a mask on the face

A facile and ecofriendly synthesis of new chromonyl chalcones 3a-b from 3-formylchromone 1 and active methyl compounds 2a-b is reported under thermal solvent-free heating condition in good yields. The chromonyl chalcones 3a-b were used as intermediates under green condition for the synthesis of new bioactive pyrazoline derivatives 4a-f. The compounds were tested for antimicrobial activity by disk diffusion assay with slight modifications against Gram-positive, Gram-negative strains of bacteria as well as fungal strains. The investigation of antimicrobial screening revealed that compounds 3a-b and 4a-f showed antibacterial and antifungal activities
