Provision of adequate energy services in terms of quality, at acceptable prices, in terms of environmental compliance and security of supply, and in accordance with the requirements of economic growth is a vital component of sustainable development.Within the European Union the states are insisting on creating a single market in energy (in particular electricity and natural gas energy market, energies that are infrastructure network dependent). Hence, the emphasis must be focused on two different directions: ?? development of transmission and distribution networks;?? institutional reorganization of the system, abolition of monopolistic structures, activities unbundling, establishment of regulatory authorities, etc..energy efficiency, energy management, ESCO (Energy Services Companies), public utilities companies, sustainable development.

Mathematical Model for the Study the Romanian Industry Evolution

This paper presents a mathematical model intended to investigate the evolution of the Romanianindustry in the last twenty-seven years. Also it includes the calculation of the performance indicesfor the optimal evolution of the Romanian industry. The data used to build the model were takenfrom Eurostat and the Statistical Yearbooks of the Romanian National Institute of Statistics

AbstractThe paper approaches the possible economic impact of the exploitation and turning to account shale gas resources, regarded from the perspective of other countries’ accomplished results. Also, the team studies social acceptability issues for the shale gas exploitation on international and national levels. Next, the environmental risks associated to high volume hydraulic fracturing and horizontal drilling for shale gas exploitation are reviewed
