Sports industry of Kashmir valley suffered tremendously due to violent militant activities. Once militancy gained momentum, the sports to the valley declined substantially. In this study only period of 10 years (2006-2015) were considered. It was shown in the study that due to disturbance in Kashmir in year 2008, 2009 and 2010 the participants shows decline in number almost 15.27% and in the year 2014 and 2015 when there was decline in the militancy there was gradual increase in the participants almost 26.6 % in the Kashmir valley

Sinus of valsalva aneurysm rupturing into main pulmonary artery: A rare paediatric cardiac emergency

Congenital Sinus of Valsalva aneurysm is a rare congenital cardiac disease. Most common site of origin is the right sinus. It ruptures into right ventricle or right atrium most of the times. Only in less than 2% of the cases it ruptures into the pulmonary artery. We report a rare case of right sinus of valsalva aneurysm rupturing into pulmonary artery

What do we know about business and economics research during COVID-19: a bibliometric review

    Get PDF
The destructive COVID-19 has emerged as the most lethal disease and dented the global economies in every aspect. Consequently, a large amount of research emerged to understand the dynamics of COVID-19. Using meta-literature approach with combination of both bibliometric (quantitative) and content analysis (qualitative) approach, this study aims to present a comprehensive review of COVID-19 business-related research of 477 articles. The results reveal the most the most relevant and influential scientific aspects of the literature such as authors, articles, institutions, journals, and countries. We also identify intellectual structure within six streams: 1) COVID-19 and global economy, 2) Dynamics of COVID-19 in business and management research, 3) COVID-19 and financial markets, 4) COVID-19 and its implication for tourism & hospitality industry, 5) Dynamic of supply chain and COVID-19 and 6) COVID-19 and functionality of government. Lastly, the review of the literature helps us to identify the research gaps and present 62 future research directions

Survey on Mining Effective Information Using Ontology Based semantic web Crawler Mechanism

Due to usable of copious data on web, searching has a consequential impact. Ongoing study place emphasis on the relevancy and robustness of the data found, as the invent patterns proximity is far from the probe. In spite of their relevance pages for some investigate topic, the results are mammoth that needed and are explored. Also the users’ perspective differs in timely manner from topic to topic. In general terms ones’ want is others unnecessary. Crawling algorithms play crucial role in selecting the pages that satisfies the users’ needs. This paper reviews the research work on web crawling algorithms used on searching

Mid aortic syndrome correction: anaesthetic considerations and management

    Get PDF
A twelve years old female patient presented with headache off and on and disparity between upper and lower limb pressures. On the basis of history, physical examination and magnetic resonance angiography, the patient was diagnosed as mid aortic syndrome and planned for elective aorto aortic bypass graft surgery through left thoracotomy. Double lumen endotracheal tube was placed for lung isolation and episodes of hypertension during proximal and distal cross clamp were controlled with sodium nitropruside infusion (SNP). Extra pleural catheter was put in at the end of surgery before chest wall closure for postoperative pain control. Both upper and lower limb pressures were monitored in the cardiac intensive care unit (CICU) and over a period of twenty four hours, gradient gradually reduced to 10 mm Hg

Objective: To share the experience of a minimally invasive technique in the implantation of a dual chamber permanent pacemaker in paediatric population. Methods: The retrospective study was conducted at Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi, and comprised data of patients aged up to1 6 years who underwent epicardial dual chamber permanent pacemaker insertion via xiphisternal incision between April 2011 and August 2016. Demographic data included age, weight and gender of the patient. Indications for pacemaker insertion, electrocardiography findings, concomitant cardiac procedures and procedural complications were reviewed. Pacemaker thresholds and impedance at the time of implantation and throughout the course of follow-up were extracted from the clinical data. Results: Of the 10 patients, 5(50% were males and 5(50%) were females. The overall mean age was 3.43.8 years range:1 month - 13 years. The mean weight at the time of operation was 11.4 6.8 kg range: 4.3 27 kg. Indications for permanent pacemaker insertion included postoperative advanced or complete atrioventricular block in 7(70% and complete congenital heart block in 3(30% There was no reported morbidity. Conclusion: Dual chamber permanent pacemaker insertion via xiphisternal incision was found to be of benefit to the patients and the surgeons alike

Resolution of gestational gigantomastia with termination of pregnancy

Less than 100 cases of gestational gigantomastia have been described in literature. The aetiology and risk factors are not well-established. Various treatments have been used with some consensus. We present the case of a 47-year-old female who presented to us with bilateral gigantomastia in her 16th week of gestation. She had massively enlarged breasts which were very painful. Relevant laboratory investigations were normal. An incisional biopsy done prior to, and two trucut samples at presentation to us, showed normal breast tissue proliferation. In the absence of adequate pain control, it was decided to electively terminate the pregnancy and give a trial of tamoxifen. She made a rapid recovery following termination without requiring the use of tamoxifen
