    Get PDF
This study investigates the impact of user generated content on online platforms, mainly known as Online Community Feedback (OCF). This study aims to highlight the importance of OCF in developing destination image. Content and feedback given by past visitors are more trustworthy as compare to any other information sources including advertisements by site managers or information from government ministries. Based on this phenomena authors of this paper have categorized and analyzed the feedback and comments of past tourist of Gilgit Baltistan Region of Pakistan. Authors have adopted unstructured approach and manual approach to categorize the feedback into different parameters. Based on those, several recommendations are made to government officials and tourist site managers to bring improvements on the site so that future tourists may choose that place for their next visit. Top 5 places of Pakistan as per tripadvisor.com, were chosen for analysis and study

The Impact of Customer Trust on the Relationship between Religious Values and Adoption of Islamic Banking

    Get PDF
This study investigated how managers in Islamic banks in Pakistan saw Islamic banking in connection to their own religious beliefs, customer trust, and other factors. The study's goal was to comprehend how managers' decisions to use financial services and products that adhere to Sharia law are influenced by their religious beliefs and how customer trust affects this relationship. Data was gathered using a quantitative research design, and it came from 146 managers of Islamic banks who responded to standardized surveys. Islamic banking acceptance, customer trust, and customer value measures were all included in the poll. To investigate the connections between the variables, descriptive statistics, and regression analysis were performed. The findings showed a strong positive correlation between managers' acceptance of Islamic banking and their religious principles. Sharia-compliant financial services were more likely to be adopted and promoted by managers with greater Islamic views. Additionally, the adoption of Islamic banking was further influenced by client trust, which appeared as a key moderator. The results underline how crucial it is for customers' trust and religious beliefs to influence managers' adoption of Islamic banking. The favorable influence of religious values on adoption decisions is strengthened by increasing consumer trust in Islamic financial institutions. This study contributes to a greater knowledge of the management perspective within the business and offers insightful information about the elements influencing the development of Islamic banking in Pakistan. &nbsp

Measuring Perceptions of Consumer Destination Image, Destination Familiarity, E-WOM, Destination Trust with Destination Choices

    Get PDF
Current theory in tourism marketing lacks understanding of how businesses signal trust to consumers to make destination-based choices. The present research investigates the role of E-WOM, destination image, familiarity, and trust (as mediator) in destination choice from signaling theory perspective. The theory suggests that there is asymmetric information between the receiver and sender which can be resolved by communicating various positive signals. This study aims to test interrelationships among these variables on destination choice. A random sample of 382 consumers having experience of travelling to the northern areas of Pakistan participated in this study. Data was analyzed through SmartPLS. The research findings highlight relationship among factors which plays a significant role for destination choice. The findings further indicate that destination trust act as a positive signal for consumers which in turn influences their destination choice (consumer perceive). Furthermore, for tourists visiting northern areas of Pakistan positive E-WOM, destination image and familiarity create signals to influence destination trust. Implications of the findings for theory and practices are considered along with future research directions

Application of 3D printing in orthopaedic surgery. A new affordable horizon for cost-conscious care

    Get PDF
Application of three-dimensional (3D) printing facilities in orthopaedic surgery is getting popular in resourceconstrained countries. It is cost- and resource-efficient to assist in planning and increasing orthopaedic procedures efficiency. Furthermore, it improves educational training and provides cheaper prosthesis and creation of customised implants for special cases. Moreover, 3D models of computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data play a helpful rule for a more hands-on approach for the surgeon. Like evidence-based medicine practice, researchers are exploring new areas of patient-specific instrumentation in the surgical field, searching for favourable and costeffective results. Three-dimensional printing has shown promising results for quick and cost-effective solutions in several fields. Many fields of application are dependent on various uses of 3D printing, but it has yet to be used widely in medicine and orthopaedics. The current literature review was planned to highlight the advantages of using 3D printing, its scope in surgical field with emphasis on orthopaedic surgery, and the limitations of its use in developing countries

The analysis of performance before and after ERP implementation: a case of a manufacturing company

[EN] Machines and technology have been known for saving the efforts and so the time of the human race. Thus in the gravity of consideration to this point, companies are required to innovate their process and practices to improve productivity. The present research was conducted at ABC manufacturing company having three departments i.e. A, B, and C. The significant impact after ERP implementation in terms of time-saving has been reflected in the present research. The nature of working and nature of manufacturing is different in all the departments; that`s why each department has its business development team. The case company has implemented an industrial and financial system (IFS) in 2020 and the whole process is properly followed in IFS. In this study, the process flow of documents and time consumption on each step of obtaining approvals from various authorities is covered, and saved time after the implementation of IFS is also revealed in detail. Results indicated that, after the implementation of IFS, the company has saved 48272.5 hours in 2021 by carryingout the whole process on IFS instead of a manual approach. None of the research highlights the magnitude and percentage of saved time after the implementation of an IFS in the manufacturing industry; The present research can be the basis of motivation for any manufacturing to implement IFS.Kalwar, MA.; Khan, MA.; Phul, Z.; Wadho, MH.; Shahzad, MF.; Marri, HB. Leveraging brain–computer interface for implementation of a bio-sensor controlled game for attention deficit people

    Get PDF
In video games, neurofeedback via Electroencephalogram (EEG) has emerged as a method for treating attention deficit, alongside preventative measures such as behavioral therapy. By 2020–21, the Neuro-Gaming industry has reached USD 6.29 billion. As a remedy to attention deficit and to take advantage of the ever-growing EEG-based gaming industry, this research work presents the design and implementation of an EEG-controlled 2D game built in the Unity 3D game engine. Our research includes steps like dataset creation, training the learning algorithms, classification, and deciding on those results in the designed game whether to shoot a target or not. We read signals from the Neurosky sensor, user orientation, and linear acceleration. We pre-process them via transforms into a processed input for various learning algorithms. The results are then exported to the game engine and used in the game. In classification, we have achieved 89% accuracy and F1 score of 87% with LSTM

Conceptual Paper on Halal and Haram: Systems Level Approach

    Get PDF
Purpose: Islamic, as well as modern literature, on the issue of halal/haram (permissible and prohibited), primarily circulates around the product’s ingredient aspect, categorizing a particular object specifically into one of the mentioned dichotomist heads. On contrary to the usual individualistic consumer/product-centric approach, this paper discusses several macros, systems-level models, which follow the top-bottom approach. Methodology: A discourse, through conceptual framework analysis, this paper discusses the concept of halal and haram, to understand the nature and antecedents to the concepts as narrated in the revealed texts of Quran and Hadith.  Findings: It is proposed that although the terms of halal and haram are elaborated extensively in literature, there are several gaps in the understanding of the concept at the systems level. Therefore, this paper presents a comprehensive understanding through conceptual framework of halal/haram using the conceptual analysis method, which grounds into Islamic literature to trace the phenomenon’s major concepts and dimensions at various systems levels, such as society and environment. Conclusion: The research would enrich the understanding of how the Creator has created filters to provide the believers the best to consume and balances the cosmic systems through commandments to individuals, compliances to which supplement and support the Islamic lifestyle and Islamic social structure and sustained global development
