The COVID-19 pandemic is the first of its kind to hit the world in the modern information age. People working in healthcare across the globe have harnessed technological advances and modern digital tools in innovative new ways. This has brought specific, more recent trends in healthcare delivery to the forefront. In this review, we present a collection of articles that highlight some of the emerging trends in healthcare driven by the COVID-19 pandemic and that have the potential to transform healthcare in the coming decades.
