Fertilidade de solos da região da rodovia transamazônica. I. Neutralização do alumínio trocável, em um podzólico Vermelho-Amarelo

Neutralization of exchangeable aluminum (1,0 me/100 g) under laboratory conditions was investigated by application of CaCO3 p.a. in increasing doses - until 2 x Al+++ - to 500 grams of soil samples, totalizing nine treatments with two replications for each treatment, including a control. Samplings at 2, 10, 15,20,45,60 and 80 days of incubation followed by analysis showed total neutralization of exchangeable aluminum at the dose corresponding to 2 x Al+++, at 20 days incubation. Determinations proceded at 45,60 and 80 days for the same treatment showed 0,3 me/100 g of exchangeable increase at the 2nd day of incubation, going from 4,8 to 5,9 in the "2 x Al+++ treatment. At the end of the test (80 days) such value had come down to 5,2.Realizou-se em laboratório um teste de neutralização do alumínio trocável (1,0 me/100g) de um solo Podzólico Vermelho-Amarelo, adicionando-se doses crescentes de CaCO3 p.a. - até  2 x Al+++ - a amostras de 500 gramas de solo, num total de duas repetições por tratamento. Amostragens aos 2, 10, 15, 20, 45, 60 e 80 dias de incubação, seguidas de análise, mostraram ter havido neutralização completa do aluminio trocável, com a dose correspondente a 2 x Al+++ , aos 20 dias de incubação. Nas análises efetuadas aos 45, 60 e 80 dias, o mesmo tratamento acusou 0,3 me/100 g de alumínio trocável.Os valores de ph sofreram aumento considerável logo no 2° dia de incubação, passando de 4,8 para 5,9 no tratamento correspondente a 2 x Al+++. A greenhouse experiment was conducted to study the effect of N,P2O5, K2O and a mixture of Mg, S, Zn, B and Mo on the growth of sorghum in two sols occurring along the Transamazonic Highway. For the first soil - Red-Yellow Podzolic - it was verified the need of applications of N,P205 and K2O at the levels 207, 251 and 191 kg/ha, respectively. it was also found response to the mixture of Mg, S and microelements (Zn, B and Mo). Liming (2 ton/ha) without fertilizers had no effect in this soil. In the "Terra Roxa Estruturada Latossólica" (comprised in the former Reddish-Brown Lateritic Soils) which didn't have exchangeable aluminum, there was response to N, P2O5 and its interaction, with significant linear effect in the three cases. Potassium had no effect in the increase of production.Estudou-se, em casa de vegetação, a resposta de sorgo à aplicação de N, P2O5, K2O e mistura de Mg, S, Zn, B e Mo (M) em dois solos, Podzólico Vermelho-Amarelo - PVA - e Terra Roxa Estruturada Latossólica - TRE-L - ocorrentes ao longo da Rodovia Transamazônica.Para o primeiro solo - PVA - constatou-se, nas condições do experimento, a necessidade de aplicação de N, P2O5 e K2O em níveis de 207, 251e 191 kg/ha, respectivamente. Observou-se, ainda, resposta à mistura do Mg, S e micronutrientos (Zn, B e Mo). A calagem (2 ton/ha), sem o concurso da adubação, não teve efeito nesse tipo de solo. Na TRE-L, que não apresentava alumínio trocável, houve resposta a nitrogênio, fósforo e interação desses macronutrientes, com efeito linear significativo nos três casos.
