    Estructura, diversidad y estado de conservaci贸n de un bosque semideciduo de Sierra La Guasasa, Parque Nacional Vi帽ales, Cuba

    The research was carried out in a semidecidous forest, Sierra la Guasasa, Vi帽ales National Park, Pinar del R铆o, Cuba. It has been subjected over time to forest exploitation in a very intense and uncontrolled way, causing its degradation, which is why this work is carried out with the objective is to analyze its structure and diversity, as well as its state of conservation. In the area, 10 rectangular plots of 5m x 20m were established; Tree composition, alpha and beta diversity were characterized, the horizontal structure was evaluated through the ecological importance index and the distribution by diameter, the vertical structure was described through the species richness in each stratum. A total of 54 species of 43 genera and 30 families were identified It was concluded that the ecosystem under study, when we analyce its forest diversity, is classified as a secondary forest and hosts a high diversity for this type of ecosystem, however, it has a structure that is consistent with a little disturbed forest, given by the stage of development of the succession of homeostasis.La investigaci贸n se realiza en un bosque semideciduo de Sierra La Guasasa en el Parque Nacional Vi帽ales, Pinar del R铆o, Cuba el cual, ha estado sometido a trav茅s del tiempo al aprovechamiento forestal de forma muy intensa e incontrolada, causando su degradaci贸n por lo que este trabajo se realiza con el objetivo de analizar su estructura, diversidad y estado de conservaci贸n. En el 谩rea fueron establecidas 30 parcelas rectangulares de 5m x 20m; Se caracteriza la composici贸n arb贸rea y la diversidad alfa y beta, se eval煤a la estructura horizontal mediante el 铆ndice de importancia ecol贸gica y la distribuci贸n por clases diam茅tricas, se describe la estructura vertical a trav茅s de la riqueza de especies en cada estrato. Se identificaron en total 54 especies de 43 g茅neros y 30 familias bot谩nicas. Se lleg贸 a la conclusi贸n que el ecosistema en estudio, al enlizar su diversidad forestal, se clasifica como un bosque secundario y alberga una diversidad elevada para este tipo de ecosistemas, sin embargo, presenta una estructura que concuerda con un bosque poco perturbado, dado por el estado actual de desarrollo de la sucesi贸n de homeostasis

    Aplicaci贸n de la Educaci贸n Popular Ambiental Comunitaria en el trabajo de campo arqueol贸gico

    The participation of the local population in the management for the protection of archeological sites has been legitimized and legislated in recent years, being recognized, both by international organizations and national governments. Its condition is to give effect to environmental policies, and as a right of the people to benefit from the archaeological heritage and their cultural resources, enriching their history, tradition and identity. The objective of the work is to analyze the results obtained with the application of the Community Environmental Popular Education during the archaeological field work in the rural community El Moncada located in the Protected Area: Vi帽ales National Park of the province of Pinar del R铆o. Among the results it has been proven that Community Environmental Popular Education is considered an effective method for the preservation of natural and cultural heritage. At present, the inhabitants of the studied area have acquired knowledge and knowledge about the care of archaeological heritage. This aspect is important because it allows mitigating the risk in the face of the impact caused by man in the short and long term. The vision of knowledge extends to the different social actors, educational institutions of the locality; rural and pre-university schools. The community has managed to generate its own capacity for self-management and co-management for the protection of its resources as a benefit, and of humanity. Training for the conservation and sustainable management of heritage has become a necessity to achieve the objectives of sustainability and equity.La participaci贸n de la poblaci贸n local en la gesti贸n para la protecci贸n de los sitios arqueol贸gicos se ha legitimado y legislado en los 煤ltimos a帽os, al ser reconocida, tanto por organismos internacionales como por gobiernos nacionales. Tiene como condici贸n dar eficacia a las pol铆ticas ambientales, y como un derecho de los pueblos para beneficiarse del patrimonio arqueol贸gico y de sus recursos culturales enriqueciendo su historia, tradici贸n e identidad. En el trabajo se tiene como objetivo analizar los resultados obtenidos con la aplicaci贸n de la Educaci贸n Popular Ambiental Comunitaria durante el trabajo de campo arqueol贸gico en la comunidad rural El Moncada ubicada en el 脕rea Protegida: Parque Nacional Vi帽ales de la provincia de Pinar del R铆o. Entre los resultados se ha comprobado, que la Educaci贸n Popular Ambiental Comunitaria se considera un m茅todo efectivo para la preservaci贸n del patrimonio natural y cultural. En la actualidad los pobladores del 谩rea estudiada han adquirido conocimientos y saberes sobre el cuidado del patrimonio arqueol贸gico. Este aspecto es importante porque permite mitigar el riesgo ante el impacto provocado por el hombre a corto y a largo plazo. La visi贸n de los conocimientos, se extiende hasta los diferentes actores sociales, instituciones educacionales de la localidad; escuelas rurales y preuniversitarios. La comunidad ha conseguido generar capacidad propia de autogesti贸n y cogesti贸n para la protecci贸n de sus recursos como beneficio, y de la humanidad. La capacitaci贸n para la conservaci贸n y el manejo sostenible del patrimonio se ha convertido en una necesidad para alcanzar los objetivos de sostenibilidad y equidad
