The role of the Catholic Church in the German health system

This article examines the role of the Roman Catholic Church in the establishment of the health care system in Europe, incl. Germany. The priority, however, is focused on the role of the Roman Catholic Church in the health care system of Germany nowadays. The author has presented an area that is barely known for the Bulgarian health specialists - the system and effectiveness of the Catholic hospitals and of other Catholic structures in Germany. The author knows the system very well, due to the fact that he works in different fields of the system since 2005. The represented German experience could be useful for the specialists of the system of health care in Bulgaria
