    Teaching Reading Comprehension Through The Interactive Technique

    The objective of this research was to find out whether the Interactive technique could improve students' reading comprehension. This was a quasi-experimental research. The population of this research was the eighth grade students of SLTP Negeri 1 Kota Bengkulu which consisted of 193 students. The sample of this research was the class VIII.2 (34 students) as the experimental group and the VIII.3 (40 students) as the control group. The instrument was a reading comprehension test, which consisted of 40 items. Before the pre-test was given, it was tried out to the students of the same level. The result was t-count in the pre-test was smaller than t-table (1.26 2.042). This indicated that the interactive technique could improve students' reading comprehension

    Pengaruh Berat Badan Lahir Rendah dengan Kejadian Stunting pada Anak Usia 12-23 Bulan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Lubuk Buaya Padang Tahun 2019

    Stunting (short) is a common nutritional problem faced in Indonesia. The stunting prevalence based on the National Health Survey in 2013 was recorded at 37.2% of all children under five, while in West Sumatra it was recorded at 39.2% of all children under five. In 2018 the national stunting rate was recorded at 30.8% of all toddlers and West Sumatra's figure was 30.0% of all toddlers. This study aims to determine the effect of low birth weight with the incidence of stunting in children aged 12-23 months in the Work Area of Lubuk Buaya Public Health Center in Padang in 2019. The sample in this study amounted to 294 toddlers both with stunting and not stunting. Analysis of the data used is univariate and bivariate, and multivariate. The results showed there was no significant relationship between body weight with the incidence of stunting, there was a significant relationship between the history of infection with the incidence of stunting, there was no significant relationship between breastfeeding and the incidence of stunting, there was no significant relationship between parenting with the incidence of stunting, the most influencing factor for the incidence of stunting in children under five in the Work Area of the Lubuk Buaya Public Health Center in 2019 was parenting with a p value = 0.002. The importance of the Lubuk Buaya Public Health Center in Padang is not only focused on the target, but also on families, especially about mothers and children under five

    Effect of Working in the Health Sector on the Sleep Quality during The COVID-19 Pandemic

    Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on people's lives, especially health workers. A study in Kupang City reported that 45.45% of health workers experienced poor sleep quality during the COVID-19 pandemic. Lack of sleep has a detrimental effect on the immune response and can increase susceptibility to COVID-19 onfection. This study aimed to determine effect of working in the health sector on the sleep quality during the COVID-19 pandemic. Subjects and Method: This was a cross-sectional study. A sample of 140 subjects from the general population was selected for this study. The dependent variable was sleep quality. The independent variable was employment status. Sleep quality was measured by the Pirtzburg Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire. The data were analyzed using chi-square and simple logistic regression. Results: The proportion of poor sleep quality among the health workers was 52.86%, and in the non-health workers was 31.43%, and this difference was statistically significant (p= 0.027). Working in the health sector was associated with decreased with the sleep quality (OR= 2.24; 95% CI= 1.10 to 4.51; p= 0.027). Conclusion: Working in the health sector is associated with decreased with the sleep quality during the COVID-19 pandemic. Keywords: COVID-19, sleep quality, health workers Correspondence: Monarisa.
