    The escalating scarcity of the spectrum has led to reuse the spectrum bands already occupied by the existing services. Hence, the interference situations between already activated services and the proposed future technologies rise rapidly. Accordingly, this paper sheds light on the spectrum sharing of coexisting of high altitude platform system (HAPS) user and an incumbent Long Term Evolution (LTE) networks that are intended for future applications. Moreover, the spectrum sharing has evaluated based on the interference to noise ratio (INR) and the carrier to interference plus noise ratio (CINR). Accordingly, optimistic results obtained at this juncture illustrate the feasibility of coexistence of both systems in 3.6 GHz band

    Applicability of DCA in HAPS-based Systems in 5850–7075 MHz Band

    The High Altitude Platform System (HAPS) which will provide a worldwide connectivity in wireless networks operates in 5850–7075 MHz spectrum endorsing the safety of primary services such as terrestrial systems (TS). The suppleness and innate characteristics of HAPS made it a trustable system that can adapt itself to operate as a secondary system in this allotment. To efficiently develop the restricted resources of the radio spectrum, the spectrum has to be divided into sub-channels to be reused. This paper offers the status of a feasibility study on the Dynamic Channel Assignment (DCA) in the mentioned band. In contrast to other mitigation techniques, the DCA technique is likely to evade either causing or accepting interference from/to TS by seeking for a part of a spectrum that is vacant so far; hence, sensing carriers transmitted from TS is the most critical issue in this technique. In this paper, a computer simulation is dispensed to assess the effect of deploying the HAPS as a secondary activated system that shares the band with TS. The paper utilizes the DCA scheme to mitigate the interference caused by HAPS into TS in order to share the spectrum between the two services. Additionally, the possibility of assigning DCA and the ability of sensing signal a victim time by the HAPS gateway (HAPSGS) with separation distance of up. 6 km is proven In order to enhance the DCA performance, the sensing threshold level is diminished from 1dB to 0.3 dB. Accordingly, the feasibility of DCA improved from 6 km to 7 km far from the urban edge of coverage (EOC) area of HAPS

    Smart Assistive Trolley for Elderly Care and Independence

    As people get older their shopping experience gets harder, as they have to keep pushing a trolley that is made of steel, as well as they keep on adding items through their shopping journey the trolley gets heavier. As a result, this project aims to help these senior citizens by providing a robotic trolley that follows them during their journey (through face detection) without the need of any physical interreference, in addition to calculating the walking distance providing the property of showing how many meters they have walked. The trolley has been fabricated with the walking distance estimation feature that has been accomplished by the ultrasonic sensor after the camera detects the user and tracks him. This strategy is achieved by using an OpenCV library that is particularly could be used in Python programming language. The results have shown a great improvement in the elderly individuals’ lives, as it supports them by giving more comfort and extra liberty to the shopping experience
