Use and Access of Grey Literature by the Scholars of Aligarh Muslim University with reference to Arts, Social Sciences, and Sciences: A Study

    Get PDF
The aim of this study is to examine the use and access of grey literature by Scholars of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) and to evaluate the grey literature contents along with general contents in AMU Repository. The study used a quantitative approach using the survey method to collect data by applying the questionnaire as a tool and analyzing the archived resources in AMU repository. Results showed that the Thesis is the highest in number among other archived resources in AMU Repository. Based on the survey, majority of the Scholars opted Theses & Dissertations as the most essential resources for their research activities, whereby they expressed the need of an information system for effective retrieval of grey resources from diverse access points within/outside the campus. There have been various studies in the past on grey literature, but none have intended to cover the use of grey literature by Scholars of Aligarh Muslim University

Diagnosing isolated hepatosplenic tuberculosis in an immunocompetent patient: A case report

For many years, tuberculosis (TB) has been endemic in Pakistan; many rare and unusual presentations have been reported. There is a myriad of non-specific symptoms which always requires a high index of clinical suspicion for TB. World Health Organization data suggest that Pakistan ranks as the fifth highest country burdened with TB and has the fourth highest prevalence of multi-drug resistant TB globally. With an annual incidence of 277 cases per 100,000, the importance of early diagnosis and treatment is self-evident. We present a case where a strong suspicion of isolated hepatosplenic TB in an immunocompetent patient justified a directed approach

In the last decades, embroidery getting much attention in industries and academics. Although the technique is very old, it is still very much adopted. The current era of machine learning and smart devices makes this method even more attractive, easy to adopt and high accuracy. The proposed research work aims to highlight the implementation of new smart devices in this field, and the work is based on microcontrollers. Adopting the proposed work will be very easy and feasible to transform from the old sewing machine to a new smart method. Using smart devices, it is very easy and precise to get the embroidery fulfilling the user's demands. It gives simple raster images, which are used to convert into digital images to portray any new product. The current work is a novel idea of generating simple images rather than complicated ones, which are difficult to draw. In our method, we introduce the digitization process to input any image file used for vectorizing raster images, where vector images can easily convert into a DST embroidery file, a commonly used embroidery format originally from Tajima. It also has a Gcode file. The machine runs on a Gcode file which can be easily generated and runs on a product

Underwater Efficient Data Routing: Clustering-Travel Salesman Protocol (CTSP)

Preserving sensor nodes’ energy in underwater sensor networks (UWSNs) stands as a crucial priority. UWSNs find key applications in ocean monitoring, offshore oil and gas exploration, and underwater robotic operations. Our study introduces a novel approach (CTSP) utilizing clustering alongside the Traveling Salesman (TS) Protocol to optimize data routing in UWSNs while minimizing energy usage. By adjusting the pathways of data transmission among sensor nodes, this method aims to curtail the network’s overall power consumption. CTSP primarily relies on two fundamental components: TS and clustering. Leveraging the TS Protocol allows the determination of the most efficient route between any pair of sensor nodes within the network. The approach ensures that each sensor node transmits data solely to its nearest neighbor, thereby reducing the energy required for transmission. Utilizing the positions of sensor nodes as input, a clustering algorithm forms larger groups. Enhanced communication within clusters and reduced long-range communication between clusters contribute to energy conservation. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method significantly diminishes power consumption compared to traditional routing methods like the LEACH algorithm. Precisely, the CTSP method exhibits the potential to reduce energy usage by up to 50%, presenting a feasible option for energy-efficient data routing in underwater settings

The Analysis the Performance of SDN Controller and AI System for Future Network

the SDN is new network controller concept and it provide faster packet data receiving and dynamic path in large network. It can work with old systems via creating new nodes. It can monitor activities of traffic routing, flowing and congestion and on the basis of these updated from all routers in the network. It can provide best shortest route to data packet in few seconds. But the main issue is that its location and controlling of huge data. The network controller can be track and data can be hack by hackers. The AI (artificial intelligence) system can help SDN controller to work batter, improve speed of the system and provide security to control network.  In this paper, the methods working of AI with SDN controller will be analyzed to make system faster and save from cyber-attack and a solution will be proposed based on analyses of SDN Network.     &nbsp
