Background: Mullerian duct anomalies are congenital anomalies of the female genital tract. Mullerian duct anomalies affect the reproductive health of the female to a varied extent. This may present as obstructive or as non-obstructive anomalies. When clinically suspected, proper investigations are required to confirm the diagnosis including ultrasonography, laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. Methods: In the present study, all the patients presenting with Mullerian duct anomalies to the gynaecology OPD at General Hospital, Sola, GMERS Medical College, Ahmedabad during the four year duration from 2011 to 2014 were included. These patients were analysed with respect to their incidence, presenting complain, age at presentation, classified according to AFS classification after proper diagnosis and managed individually. Results: The incidence of Mullerian duct anomalies was found to be 0.084%.52.9% belonged to the age group of 21 to 25 years. Most of these patients (73.5%) presented with chronic complains. Only a few presented with acute symptoms (14.7%) whereas a few were asymptomatic (11.8%). Septate uterus (20.6%) was the most common anomaly diagnosed at our setup followed by bicornuate uterus (17.7%) and tansverse vaginal septum (17.6%). History along with clinical and USG examination were adequate in diagnosis of patients with vaginal agenesis, didelphic, bicornuate uterus, TVS and imperforate hymen. Laparoscopy was needed to confirm cases of MRKH & unicornuate uterus and hysteroscopy for cases of septate uterus. Arcuate uterus was diagnosed during LSCS. Conclusions: It was thus concluded that with timely evaluation, diagnosis and optimal management, their menstrual disturbances are relieved early in adolescence period recuperating their psychiatric health & improving their reproductive carrier. Delay in management may cause serious complications and potential infertility

The non-adrenergic imidazoline-1 receptor protein nischarin is a key regulator of astrocyte glutamate uptake

Astrocytic GLT-1 is the main glutamate transporter involved in glutamate buffering in the brain, pivotal for glutamate removal at excitatory synapses to terminate neurotransmission and for preventing excitotoxicity. We show here that the surface expression and function of GLT-1 can be rapidly modulated through the interaction of its N-terminus with the nonadrenergic imidazoline-1 receptor protein, Nischarin. The phox domain of Nischarin is critical for interaction and internalization of surface GLT-1. Using live super-resolution imaging, we found that glutamate accelerated Nischarin-GLT-1 internalization into endosomal structures. The surface GLT-1 level increased in Nischarin knockout astrocytes, and this correlated with a significant increase in transporter uptake current. In addition, Nischarin knockout in astrocytes is neuroprotective against glutamate excitotoxicity. These data provide new molecular insights into regulation of GLT-1 surface level and function and suggest new drug targets for the treatment of neurological disorders

    Triaxiality in the odd-A nuclei

A systematic study of ground state spectrum with the triaxial deformation γ for odd-A Iodine isotopes 109−117I is carried out with the nonadiabatic quasiparticle approach. The rotation-particle coupling is accomplished microscopically such that the matrix elements of a particle-plus-rotor system are written in terms of the rotor energies. The 5/2+ state is confirmed as ground state for odd-A 111−117I and also coming out as lowest in energy for 109I

Digital technologies play a crucial role in enhancing the competitiveness of the economy and promoting economic growth in many countries. The paper is dedicated to the development of digitalization in the modern economy of India and its impact on economic processes that determine the country's economic growth. We analyzed changes in unemployment, debit and credit card transactions, indirect tax revenues, exports, and trade volumes. In this work, we used analysis and methods of correlation-regression analysis. We found a positive relationship between the number of debit and credit card transactions for indirect tax collection. We confirmed that digitalization had influenced the growth of exports and trade volumes by increasing the role of e-commerce while not increasing the unemployment rate

The PMS-EDDG is an effective hybrid process to beat the problems identified in machining of Inconel 600 through the conventional machining process. This hybrid-machining-process is a combination of SDG and Powder Mixed-EDM process. Modeling, comparative investigation, determination of optimal setting of process factors, and various surface developments in S-EDDG of Inconel 600 with chromium and absence of chromium-powder blended dielectric fluid (DF) have been narrated in this research work. One set of 31 experiments with chromium-powder and another set of 31 experiments without chromium-powder mixed DF was conducted on this set-up in accordance with the C-C-R-D plan of experimentation. The developed models through RSM support to investigate the behavior of input process-factors over the responses. The input factors in this research work are ampere-current (I), pulse-on-time (Ton), wheel speed (WS), and duty cycle (DC). The MRR and Ra are the output-responses in this machining process. The optimum setting of process-parameters is computed through the integrated Grey-Taguchi based WPCA-approach. The confirmation experiment is conducted on this set-up at the optimum-condition and its results display the agreeable matching among the actual and predicted values. The WMPI is improved by 0.414. The SEM investigation has been conducted at the optimum-condition on the produced machined-surfaces and on the produced white recast-layer thickness

The impact of the circular economy on the pro-ecological behaviour of consumers in Russia

    No full text
Russia is at the beginning of the development of a circular economy (CE). The development of pro-ecological behavior is one of the main goals to transition to circular patterns of production and consumption. The lack of readiness of technologies and infrastructure to support consumer behavior patterns can inhibit pro-ecological consumer patterns. However, world experience shows that cultural and economic barriers have the most significant impact on which of the practices of pro-environmental behavior are spreading and which are not. The study aims to analyze the reasons for the popularity and unpopularity of the patterns of pro-ecological behavior among Russia’s population. The research methodology is based on a developed questionnaire of 57 practices and aimed at assessing consumer responsiveness in pro-environmental behavior. The processing of the survey results carried out using descriptive and nonparametric statistics. This study argued that widespread adoption of circular economy approaches would require profound changes in manufacturing practices and consumption patterns. The results showed that environmental competence is influenced by external and internal factors that can coordinate the education process

Effect of Machine Feed Rate on Kerf-Width, Material Removal Rate, and Surface Roughness in Machining of Al/SiC Composite Material with Wire Electrical Discharge Machine

The impact of machine feed rates of Wire Electric Discharge Machining on the kerf-width (K-width), material-removal-rate (MR-R), and surface-roughness (S-R) in the machining of Al/SiC composite is practically analysed. The relation among the feed rates of machine and K-width, MR-R, S-R is graphically acquired. It is demonstrated that lesser rate of feed is responsible for generation of larger K-width, lesser MR-R, and good finish as compared to more feed rate
