    Development of Un-contacting Type Pocket Measuring Instrument which Used Laser

    歯周ポケット底部までプローブを挿入することなくポケットの深さを測定できる非接触型ポケット測定器(レーザープローブ)の開発を行った.本研究は,最初に歯周ポケットを模擬した溝模型およびイヌの自然発症型歯周炎での歯周ポケットを測定し,その有用性を確認した.その後レーザープローブを用いて歯周炎患者の歯周ポケットを測定して臨床応用の可能性を検討した.擬似ポケット(溝模型)実験の結果,測定が可能であった.動物実験の結果,ポケット内の血液の排除ならびに付着の防止が可能であり,手用プローブと同等の測定か可能であった.臨床実験では手用プローブとほぼ同等の測定結果が得られた.また両者の痛みの発現率についても差が無かった.これらの結果より非接触型レーザープローブは,歯周ポケット底まで挿入することなくポケットの深さを測定でき,臨床応用への可能性が示唆された.The un-contacting type pocket measuring instrument (laser probe) which can measure the depth of a pocket was developed without inserting a probe into a periodontal pocket bottom. This research measured the periodontal pocket in natural development-of-symptoms type periodontitis of the slot model and in a dog model which imitated the periodontal pocket to determine the usefulness of the instrument. After that patient's periodontal pocket was measured using the laser probe after that, and the possibility of clinical application was examined. Measurements ware able to be taken as a result of the slot model. As a result of the animal experiment, exclusion of the blood in a pocket and prevention of adhesion were proven possible, and measurement equivalent in accuracy to the probe for hands was possible. In the clinical testing, a measurement result almost equivalent to the probe for hands was obtained. Moreover, there was no difference in the existence of for both methods ache. From these results, the un-contacting type laser probe can measure the depth of a pocket, without insertion to the periodontal pocket bottom, and the possibility of clinical application was suggested.6KJ00004293436原著ORIGINAL ARTICLEdepartmental bulletin pape

    Plaque Removal by Electric Toothbrushing Compared with Manual Toothbrushing

    手用歯ブラシ,音波歯ブラシ,超音波歯ブラシを用いて,ブラッシング時間がプラーク除去効果ならびに歯周組織に与える影響を,10名の被験者を用いて検討した.被験者には3日間ブラッシングを停止させることによって,プラークを蓄積させ,軽度の歯肉炎症を惹起させた.その後各種歯ブラシによるプラーク除去効果を検討した.1分間と2分間の異なったブラッシング時間では,全ての歯ブラシともプラーク除去効果はほぼ同様であった.さらに,4分間のブラッシングを1日3回食後14日間行わせた結果では,歯周組織の改善は全ての歯ブラシに認められ,特に音波歯ブラシが他の歯ブラシよりも効果的であることが示唆された.The aim of this study is to assess the efficacy of a manual toothbrush, a sonic toothbrush and an ultrasonic toothbrush in bacterial plaque removal and periodontal conditions. For this study, 10 subjects were selected. All subjects received a oral prophylaxis where plaque and calculus were removed and the teeth were polished so that all subjects started with equally clean teeth. Before the experiment, the subjects refrained from brushing for 72h. These results that with a brushing time of 1 to 2 min that was no statistically significant difference in the plaque removal efficacy of all toothbrushes.
