Supersymmetric AdS6AdS_6 black holes from matter coupled F(4)F(4) gauged supergravity

In matter coupled F(4)F(4) gauged supergravity in six dimensions, we study supersymmetric AdS6AdS_6 black holes with various horizon geometries. We find new AdS2 × Σg1Γ—Ξ£g2AdS_2\,\times\,\Sigma_{\mathfrak{g}_1}\times\Sigma_{\mathfrak{g}_2} horizons with g1>1\mathfrak{g}_1>1 and g2>1\mathfrak{g}_2>1, and present the black hole solution numerically. The full black hole is an interpolating geometry between the asymptotically AdS6AdS_6 boundary and the AdS2 × Σg1Γ—Ξ£g2AdS_2\,\times\,\Sigma_{\mathfrak{g}_1}\times\Sigma_{\mathfrak{g}_2} horizon. We also find black holes with horizons of K\"ahler four-cycles in Calabi-Yau fourfolds and Cayley four-cycles in Spin(7)Spin(7) manifolds.Comment: v3: 24 pages, 3 figures. Title changed. Supersymmetric Janus solutions of dyonic ISO(7)ISO(7)-gauged N = 8\mathcal{N}\,=\,8 supergravity

We study supersymmetric Janus solutions of dyonic ISO(7)ISO(7)-gauged N\mathcal{N} = 8 supergravity. We mostly find Janus solutions flowing to 3d N\mathcal{N} = 8 SYM phase which is the worldvolume theory on D2-branes and non-conformal. There are also solutions flowing from the critical points which are dual to 3d SCFTs from deformations of the D2-brane theory.Comment: 15 pages, 4 figures; v2: clarifications and references added, published versio

D4-branes wrapped on a topological disk

Employing the method applied to M5-branes recently by Bah, Bonetti, Minasian and Nardoni, we study D4-branes wrapped on a disk with a non-trivial holonomy at the boundary. In F(4)F(4) gauged supergravity in six dimensions, we find supersymmetric AdS4AdS_4 solutions and uplift the solutions to massive type IIA supergravity. We calculate the holographic free energy of dual three-dimensional superconformal field theories.Comment: v2: 23 pages, 2 figures, analytic expression of holographic free energy included, published versio

Towards mass-deformed ABJM compactified on a spindle

By following the work of Arav, Gauntlett, Roberts and Rosen constructing the gravity dual of 4d Leigh-Strassler theory compactified on a spindle, we take the first step towards the gravity dual of 3d mass-deformed ABJM theory on a spindle. We derive the BPS equations necessary to construct the AdS2Γ—Ξ£AdS_2\times\Sigma solutions asymptotic to the Warner N=2\mathcal{N}=2 AdS4AdS_4 vacuum dual to the mass-deformed ABJM where Ξ£\Sigma is a spindle. We find the flux quantization through the spindle. However, we were notnot able to fix the boundary conditions of the solution to explicitly find solutions numerically. We leave this problem for the future study.Comment: 28 page

Supersymmetric AdS_6 Solutions of Type IIB Supergravity

We study the general requirement for supersymmetric AdS6_6 solutions in type IIB supergravity. We employ the Killing spinor technique and study the differential and algebraic relations among various Killing spinor bilinears to find the canonical form of the solutions. Our result agrees precisely with the work of Apruzzi et. al. \cite{Apruzzi:2014qva} which used the pure spinor technique. We also obtained the four-dimensional theory through the dimensional reduction of type IIB supergravity on AdS6_6. This effective action is essentially a nonlinear sigma model with five scalar fields parametrizing SL(3,R)/SO(2,1)\textrm{SL}(3,\mathbb{R})/\textrm{SO}(2,1), modified by a scalar potential and coupled to Einstein gravity in Euclidean signature. We argue that the scalar potential can be explained by a subgroup CSO(1,1,1) βŠ‚SL(3,R)\subset\textrm{SL}(3,\mathbb{R}) in a way analogous to gauged supergravity.Comment: v2: 24 pages, misprints corrected, published in EPJ

Spindle black holes in AdS4Γ—_4 \timesSE7_7

We construct new classes of supersymmetric AdS2Γ—Ξ£_2 \times {\Sigma} solutions of 4d gauged supergravity in presence of charged hypermultiplet scalars, with Ξ£{\Sigma} the complex weighted projective space known as a spindle. These solutions can be viewed as near-horizon geometries of asymptotically Anti de-Sitter (AdS4_4) black holes with magnetic fluxes that admit embedding in 11d on Sasaki-Einstein (SE7_7) manifolds, which renders them of holographic interest. We show that in each case the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy follows from the procedure of gluing two gravitational blocks, ultimately determined by SE7_7 data. This allows us to establish the general form of the gravitational blocks in gauged 4d N=2{\mathcal N} =2 supergravity with charged scalars and massive vectors. Holographically, our results provide a large N answer for the spindle index with anti-twist and additional mesonic or baryonic fluxes of a number of N=2{\mathcal N} =2 Chern-Simons-matter theories.Comment: 40 pages, 2 figures, 1 Mathematica fil
