    Second Universal Periodic Review of India-Draft

    The Universal Periodic Review (UPR) is a process of the Human Rights Council which involves a review of the human rights records of all 192 UN Member States once every four years. The reviews are conducted by the UPR Working Group which consists of the 47 members of the Council. For this process, one of the documents submitted is the national report prepared by the Government of the reviewed state. This is the draft Universal Periodic Report-II prepared by the Government of India through an inter-Ministerial process. The Government of India invites from the civil society on this draft to be sent to the UNES Division of the Ministry of External Affairs.
