Towards a service-led relationship in project-based firms
Project-based firms increasingly apply practices that are in line with relationship marketing (RM), which is a shift from individuality to mutuality, and service-dominant logic (SDL), which is a shift from a focus on goods exchange to an emphasis on service exchange. These firms also adopt value co-creation processes, benefiting from both RM and SDL views. However, their overall transition towards RM, SDL and/or both is not clearly understood. Therefore, the research aim is to explain how and why project-based firms have moved away from transitional marketing. A retrospective action research between 2002 and 2009 provides process data on how a single main contractor adapted their marketing approach over five publicly funded projects within the oil, gas and petrochemical industries. The findings show that the uniqueness and dynamics of projects necessitate the adoption of both SDL and RM, a view that is entitled the service-led relationship here. This transition occurs through services expansion, multi-level distributed interactions and process-oriented performance management in projects. The firm enabled the transition through the evolution of both institutional mechanisms such as contracts and organizational structure, and people attributes such as capabilities and culture
Ghana coastal fisheries governance dialogue: developing options for a legal framework for fisheries co-management in Ghana
The Third National Fisheries Governance Dialogue was a direct follow up on the Second National Fisheries Governance Dialogue held in Elmina in April 2012. It was agreed at the Second dialogue that co-management was the way forward for sustaining Ghana’s fisheries and that its success would depend on a supportive legal framework. The two day dialogue meeting consisted of four key presentations focusing on: the current status of fisheries in Ghana; co-management as a fresh approach to fisheries; outcomes from the regional stakeholder consultations on co-management structure; and outcomes from the research on the legal framework. The presentations were followed by four breakout groups that generated ideas for co-management structures for different species namely pelagic fish or Sardinella, near shore demersal, Volta lake, and lagoons and estuaries. Key elements for co-management structures and elements of a co-management legal framework were later identified during plenary discussions
Key functions in BIM-based AR platforms
The integration of Augmented Reality and Building Information Modelling is a promising area of research; however, fragmentation in literature hinders the development of mature BIM-based AR platforms. This paper aims to minimise the fragmentation in the literature by identifying the key functions that represent the essential capabilities of BIM-AR platforms. A systematic literature review is employed to identify, categorise, and discuss the key functions. The outcome of this paper identifies six key functions: positioning (P), interaction (I), visualisation (V), collaboration (C), automation (A), and integration (T). These key functions act as the foundation for an evaluation framework that can assist practitioners, developers, and researchers with assessing the requirements of the targeted application area, and hence be better informed on the appropriate devices, software, and techniques to use. Finally, this paper emphasises the importance of industrial-academic collaboration in BIM-AR research and suggests prospects for automation through the application of artificial intelligence
Radio Observations of the Supernova Remnant Candidate G312.5-3.0
The radio images from the Parkes-MIT-NRAO (PMN) Southern Sky Survey at 4850
MHz have revealed a number of previously unknown radio sources. One such
source, G312.5-3.0 (PMN J1421-6415), has been observed using the
multi-frequency capabilities of the Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA) at
frequencies of 1380 MHz and 2378 MHz. Further observations of the source were
made using the Molonglo Observatory Synthesis Telescope (MOST) at a frequency
of 843 MHz. The source has an angular size of 18 arcmin and has a distinct
shell structure. We present the reduced multi-frequency observations of this
source and provide a brief argument for its possible identification as a

Two phase transitions in (s+id)-wave Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer superconductivity
We establish universal behavior in temperature dependencies of some
observables in -wave BCS superconductivity in the presence of a weak
wave. There also could appear a second second-order phase transition. As
temperature is lowered past the usual critical temperature , a less
ordered superconducting phase is created in wave, which changes to a more
ordered phase in wave at (). The presence of two phase
transitions manifest in two jumps in specific heat at and . The
temperature dependencies of susceptibility, penetration depth, and thermal

Strongly Enhanced Hole-Phonon Coupling in the Metallic State of the Dilute Two-Dimensional Hole Gas
We have studied the temperature dependent phonon emission rate () of a
strongly interacting (22) dilute 2D GaAs hole system using a standard
carrier heating technique. In the still poorly understood metallic state, we
observe that () changes from () to ()
above 100mK, indicating a crossover from screened piezoelectric(PZ) coupling to
screened deformation potential(DP) coupling for hole-phonon scattering.
Quantitative comparison with theory shows that the long range PZ coupling
between holes and phonons has the expected magnitude; however, in the metallic
state, the short range DP coupling between holes and phonons is {\it almost
twenty times stronger} than expected from theory. The density dependence of
() shows that it is {\it easier} to cool low density 2D holes in GaAs
than higher density 2D hole systems.Comment: To appear in Phys. Rev. Let
Nonlocal feedback in ferromagnetic resonance
Ferromagnetic resonance in thin films is analyzed under the influence of
spatiotemporal feedback effects. The equation of motion for the magnetization
dynamics is nonlocal in both space and time and includes isotropic, anisotropic
and dipolar energy contributions as well as the conserved Gilbert- and the
non-conserved Bloch-damping. We derive an analytical expression for the
peak-to-peak linewidth. It consists of four separate parts originated by
Gilbert damping, Bloch-damping, a mixed Gilbert-Bloch component and a
contribution arising from retardation. In an intermediate frequency regime the
results are comparable with the commonly used Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert theory
combined with two-magnon processes. Retardation effects together with Gilbert
damping lead to a linewidth the frequency dependence of which becomes strongly
nonlinear. The relevance and the applicability of our approach to ferromagnetic
resonance experiments is discussed.Comment: 22 pages, 9 figure
