Deep-inelastic electron-proton scattering events with a forward jet, produced at small angles with respect to the proton beam in the laboratory frame, are studied at the HERA collider. The analysed data were collected by the H1 experiment in the year 2000 at the center-of-mass energy of 319 GeV. The measurements are performed in the phase space region defined by the x-Bjorken variable 0.0001 < x < 0.004, the four-momentum transfer squared 5 < Q2\it Q^{2} < 85 GeV2GeV^{2} and by the inelasticity 0.1 < y < 0.7. The requirements on the forward jet and the phase space were chosen in such a way that the standard DGLAP evolution is suppressed and the effects of the BFKL dynamics are enhanced. Inclusive forward jet cross sections as a function of x, Q2, the transverse momentum of the jet, its pseudorapidity and the fractional energy were measured. Moreover differential cross sections and normalised distributions were measured as a function of the azimuthal angle difference ΔPhi\Delta Phi between the forward jet and the scattered electron. Events with a forward jet and an additional jet, produced in the central region of the laboratory frame, were also investigated. The measurements are compared to predictions of Monte Carlo generators based on different QCD evolution schemes as well as to next-to-leading order DGLAP calculations

Small xx phenomenology: Summary and status

A second workshop on small x physics, within the Small x Collaboration, was held in Lund in June 2002 with the aim of over-viewing recent theoretical progress in this area and summarizing the experimental status. This paper is dedicated to the memory of Jan Kwiecinski, who died unexpectedly on August 29, 2003
