Are Right-wing Populists More Likely to Justify Political Violence?
Do individuals with right-wing populist ideologies have higher violence-justification attitudes than those supporting different political ideologies? While the literature has confirmed the association between political violence and populism, research on which components of populist ideologies relate to individual attitudes towards political violence is relatively scarce. Based on 18 European democracies, this research note examines whether right-wing populist individuals are more likely to justify political violence to pursue their political goals. The analyses reveal that right-wing populists are generally more likely to justify political violence compared to mainstream voters and non-voters. Additionally, left-wing populist voters also support political violence, although the effect size is comparatively smaller. This indicates that voters’ radicalisation depends on populist ideologies rather than left-right ideological distinctions. The effect among right-wing populists depends on city residence, gender and immigration status. Subsequent analyses suggest that right-wing populists’ attitudes towards violence are not conditional on nativism or anti-immigration perceptions. These findings contribute to the general understanding of the nature and consequences of populism

Does Right-Wing Violence Affect Public Support for Radical Right Parties? Evidence from Germany
This article examines whether citizens? political preferences toward radical right parties (RRPs) change after right-wing extremist violent attacks. It investigates this question in two ways. First, it presents a time-series study on public support for the RRP Alternative for Germany (AfD) between 2013 and 2019. Second, the article employs a quasi-experimental research design to examine the effect of a right-wing terrorist attack on citizens? attitudes toward immigrants. Both studies indicate that public support for the AfD and its programmatic core positions increased after right-wing extremist attacks. Subsequent analyses suggest that former voters of the mainstream right, in particular, drive this effect. These findings shed light on the determinants of radical right party support, contributing to the long-standing debate on the consequences of political violence
Effectiveness in Tax Payment by Rural Micro Enterprises in Tanzania
Taxation in Tanzania started from colonial era, it is a very important source of government revenue; hence it enables the government to finance its functions including administrative, social, protective, and development functions. Despite the fact that, tax is compulsory payment that enables the government to finance its various activities, many residents still do not like paying tax. Therefore, this study assessed effectiveness in tax payment by rural micro enterprises in Meru district in Tanzania. The study collected and used both primary and secondary data. Primary data were collected from a sample of 200 respondents including tax assessors, business owners, and employed managers through questionnaires and interviews. The study revealed that, there was no effectiveness in tax payment by rural micro enterprises in Meru district in Tanzania. It was recommended for the government through TRA to provide taxpayer education and training, lowering the tax rates, creating friendly relationship with tax payers, removal of tax incentives or exclusion among big corporations, and good governance of tax collected. No UV/IR Mixing in Unitary Space-Time Noncommutative Field Theory
In this article we calculate several divergent amplitudes in phi^4-theory on
non-commutative space-time in the framework of Interaction Point Time Ordered
Perturbation Theory (IPTOPT), continuing work done in hep-th/0209253. On the
ground of these results we find corresponding Feynman rules which allow for a
much easier diagrammatic calculation of amplitudes. The most important feature
of the present theory is the lack of the UV/IR mixing problem in all amplitudes
calculated so far. Although we are not yet able to give a rigorous proof, we
provide a strong argument for this result to hold in general. Together with the
found Feynman rules this opens promising vistas towards the systematic
renormalization of non-commutative field theories.Comment: 23 pages, uses package feynmf, v2: typos, added reference, minor
